So this week we bring back Coach Stout AKA Austin Stout
We hear it all the time "well the research shows this, well the research says that"... but how important is the research really?
At the end of the day research for the most part is conducted in controlled environments, but we as humans have many variables that are not controllable. Sometimes research can be too unrealistic to be accomplished, do yourself a favor and listen to the episode you'll see what we mean by that. Austin brings up a great point within the episode as he mentions "we're dealign with a person not an equation"
The second half of the episode the conversation turned to more of a functional training aspect. The term functional can have many different meanings for regular everyday people and part of this functional aspect is really keeping it simple and correcting some of the more easy issues or "low hanging fruit" the industry as a whole sometimes suffers because social media and in many cases coaches set unrealistic expectations.
Austin put it in a very simple sentence:
"why would you want to do worse, when you can do better?"
Time touches on the four pillars of the basics:
A. Sleep
B. Daily Movement
C. Stress Management
D. Relationship with food
I repeat this is not one that you want to miss DOWNLOAD & LISTEN NOW!
