The Cancer Dietitian Podcast

Today is week 4 of the Eat the Rainbow Fruit & Veggie challenge!

MYTH: Non-GMO and organic foods are better for you.

TRUTH: Current scientific evidence shows that conventionally grown foods are just as healthy as non-GMO and organic foods.

The winter edition of my Eat the Rainbow program has started and I will provide the content via podcast as well as email. If you’d like to register for the email version, just go to www.cancerdietitian.com/rainbow.

If you want to learn more about GMO and organic foods check out these Cancer Dietitian Podcast episodes:

Or watch the webinar: https://cancerdietitian.com/2021/03/webinar-which-is-best-organic-or-conventional.html

The blog post of this week is located here, as is the recipe of the week: https://cancerdietitian.com/2022/12/eat-the-rainbow-winter-week-4-produce-myth-4-gmos-good-or-bad.html

Here are my favorite holiday recipes! https://cancerdietitian.com/2019/11/julies-delicious-and-nutritious-holiday-cooking-class-recipes.html

The kale salad referenced in the episode is here: https://cancerdietitian.com/2015/11/cancer-dietitian-kale-salad-recipe-video.html

For those interested in tracking, I don’t need you to track everything you eat, just when you eat fruits/veggies during the day. Use an app on your phone or a simple piece of paper with a pen. This helps you recognize how you’re doing with fitting fruits and veggies into your day. If you need a printable tracking form, here’s one I use: https://www.cancerdietitian.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/nutrition-tracker-CSI.pdf

Here’s the Link to report your fruit and veggie intake: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdMTfTjDOrVS4VVoqAEJLCEXCY3nSei_hlXhCb4LfrfLYkJug/viewform

If you don't have capacity to track, that's ok! Just enjoy the episodes and recipes and let yourself off the hook for tracking. You have permission to choose your own "Eat the Rainbow adventure!" : - )
