The Broken System - Season 1 Episode 1- DJ Fickey

Despite their love for each other, DJ and Brandy's relationship was marked by turbulence and conflict due to their struggles with addiction. Addiction can complicate relationships and make it hard for individuals to prioritize their relationships over their drug use, leading to further strain on the relationship.
The back and forth between DJ and Brandy took place over a year, with DJ trying to figure out how to get his family on track. His family tried endlessly to convince him to end the toxic relationship, but DJ was unwilling to walk away from Brandy. He was convinced that he could make things work and loved her deeply, which caused him to put himself in unsafe situations to ensure her safety.
It's a heartbreaking story that highlights the devastating effects of addiction on individuals and their relationships.
