Today business owner Lora Ladd shares how she started her home cleaning business with just $50, when she was only 21 years old, and during the 2008 recession. Lora talks about how she found the mental strength to pivot during the pandemic and how she developed the emotional intelligence to lead her team. Through working with thousands of clients and hundreds of employees, she has come to appreciate the impactfulness of having self-care as a core value in her business.
Lora admits she fell into entrepreneurship. After losing her position as a graphic designer, she had to move back in with her parents. She landed a job as a house cleaner and soon realized she was not only good at keeping house, but she loved housekeeping for other homeowners. Feeling that she had nothing to lose, she took her experience and started her business, building a team and a company her employees love to work for.
