This week I got to speak to Nicole about her experience with her son Oakley. After a few confusing appointments throughout her pregnancy she was admitted to hospital at 29 weeks with HELLP syndrome, a life threatening pregnancy condition which can only be solved by giving birth to your child. This lead Nicole to have Oakley at just 29 weeks and resulted in a 9 week nicu stay. Nicole takes us through the emotions and heartbreak involved in this, and finally the best day of her life, when she got to take her son home.

Lauren when overdue with both her children, with her daughter she had a long latent stage of labour therefore she had some pethidine to help manage the pain. However her 1st and 2nd stage came on much quicker. With her song she used the water to help manage her pain and gave birth to him in the pool.
