The Best Debate in the Universe
Our guest, (Kristen Brancaccio)[https://twitter.com/kristensreality] joins the debate this week, with a surprise answer: nothing. That is, nothing sucked about the 2000s. I point out a little thing called 9/11, and Rucka brings up drug PSAs from the 90s. But since it's the second week we've discussed the reward for saving a life, that's the second debate question this week: is $300 and a banquet enough of a reward for saving someone's life? Or are firefighters getting screwed? Watch the video version here at Madcast Media Network YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChMUFeIZ1l9uRJ4bIXuAKDg?sub_confirmation=1) https://www.youtube.com/embed/videoseries?list=PLf-OiH3ea1_CE0fjmDw3njnqjo2LTl8bu Here's Kristen's Walking Dead video she directed for Bonnie Von Duyke: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuQpsx-Bpdc And here's a Walking Dead short she directed called "Lost and Found:" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-GqbNqsfCY Rucka (https://www.youtube.com/user/itsRucka) recaps his story about a guy who saved someone's life in a "Plum" market (think: Whole Foods) and only got $300. Is this a shitty reward? Vote now! Plus ya boi Mikey Bolts (https://www.youtube.com/user/michaelbalalis) is back from a stint with the flu and the NFL. Here's the bonus episode (https://madcastmedia.com/shows/maddoxvsuniverse/3/) for all the winners who want to support the show: https://madcastmedia.com/shows/maddoxvsuniverse/3/ And here's my new book, F*ck Whales: Petty essays from a brilliant mind: http://amzn.to/2CdkfSI This week Mikey Bolts brings in the news, where one of the stories sounds suspiciously like an ad. What do you think? Chime in below. Also this wasn't an exhaustive list of things that sucked from the 2000s, any big ones we missed? And by "we" I mean everyone but me because I know everything. Episode #86 - What sucked most about the 90s? Alan Denton, Caitlin Hall, Rucka, Cosmopolitan

While a lot of websites that rhyme with "sludge feed" reminisce fondly about the 90s, it's also the decade that gave us Kid Rock, shitty sitcoms and Dave Matthews Band. So the debate this week is: WHAT SUCKED MOST ABOUT THE 90s? Sonic Boom writer and story editor, Alan Denton (https://twitter.com/AlanTheWriter) and fan favorite Caitlin Hall (https://twitter.com/caitlingwynne) joins us this week to debate what sucked most about the 90s. Caitlin very craftily avoids mentioning boy bands when she criticizes the music of the decade, only to have me take a big dump on the "bad boys" of the 90s. Alan brings in a forgotten relic: America Online, and we learn that they employed child labor to keep the service running. Rucka's long-shot pick is flannel, which everyone seems to think is awesome and for lumberjacks, which is only something you'd know if you jack lumber like I do. Watch the video version here at Madcast Media Network YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChMUFeIZ1l9uRJ4bIXuAKDg?sub_confirmation=1 Rucka (https://www.youtube.com/user/itsRucka) unintentionally spawned a mini-debate near the end of this episode that was almost as long as the regular debate: is $300 a good reward for saving someone's life? He seems to think it's worse than $15 for saving a dog's life. This was almost the second debate question this week, but we ran out of voting options so chime in below. Also if anyone listening knows about the incident Rucka is talking about in Michigan, please let me know. I want to track these people down. And here's the new bonus episode: https://madcastmedia.com/shows/maddoxvsuniverse/3/ Also, a big you're-welcome to everyone who ordered my book: F*CK WHALES: Petty Essays from a Brilliant Mind: http://amzn.to/2oiF2xi Finally we round out the episode with an article from Cosmo where a woman makes a mold of her husband's penis and then talks about it (and shows it) in the magazine. I hate everything about this. Link below (NSFW). The voicemail number is: 1-562-58-I-RULE (1-562-584-7853). Episode #88 - What's the biggest turnoff for dating? Therapist Kelli Miller

Therapist Kelli Miller (http://www.kellimiller.com/) of the Dr. Debra and Therapist Kelli show (http://latalkradio.com/content/debra-kelli-show) joins the debate this week. What's a big turnoff for guys? For me, it's swamp-mouth, due mostly to hot babes not flossing. Turns out it's more common than one might think, if it's common for you to date hot babes like I do. Kelli finds stupid guys a real turnoff, Rucka hates complacency and Mikey wants a girl who doesn't so argumentative. So in other words, a girl who doesn't exist. BOOM. Watch the video version here at Madcast Media Network YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChMUFeIZ1l9uRJ4bIXuAKDg?sub_confirmation=1 We finally get a conclusion to Rucka (https://www.youtube.com/user/itsRucka) "Plum" market story where his friend gets a $300 reward that he thinks isn't adequate. Someone who knows the guy called into the show thanks to Rucka! Plus Mikey Bolts (https://www.youtube.com/user/michaelbalalis) opens up a bit about his dating history and the types of girls he's not attracted to: non-argumentative, aka a unicorn. Here's the bonus episode (https://madcastmedia.com/shows/maddoxvsuniverse/3/) for all the winners who want to support the show: https://madcastmedia.com/shows/maddoxvsuniverse/3/ And here's my new book, F*ck Whales: Petty essays from a brilliant mind: http://amzn.to/2oiF2xi We round out the show with a story about a Taco Bell supervisor who gets "beaned" by a burrito. Plus some enterprising guy tricks a valet to give him keys to some dude's Ferrari. The owner's name is "skip" so the DA decides to drop the charges out of principle. The voicemail number is: 1-562-58-I-RULE (1-562-584-7853).
