The 500 Section Lounge Podcast
This week's Vault episode revisits the time the guys talked to R&B Icon, DC Glenn (DC the Brain Supreme), half of the hip-hop TagTeam!
ORIGINAL SHOW NOTES
This week takes the guys back to their high school days! DC Glenn, a.k.a. DC the Brain Supreme sprinkled all sorts of things in the #Lounge, this week! DC is half of the hip-hop duo, Tag Team, who had the iconic song, "Whoomp! (There It Is)," that came out in the early 1990s!
He talks in-depth about the national GEICO commercial that Tag Team was featured, and whether or not the offer to do a commercial, altering their song, took time to agree on or whether it was agreed upon without thinking about it!
DC is asked about who his most influential person was, in his growing up, and his answer is great! How did he start his music career? What motivates him? Where did his work ethic come from, and what drives him to succeed in anything he does? He talks about all of these things!
DC gives a piece of advice, to Sam, when it comes to a certain feature, from dogs, that require his boys to go out and pick up! There were things, early in DC's life, that got him on track to be successful, and it might surprise you as to what!
DC talks about the transition in his life from a full-time rapper to being a person who does acting, performing, voice-over, and other things! He truly does 5 things at the same time to make sure he is "recession-proof!" He also makes a statement about 2020 that might surprise you, taking everything about 2020 into account!
They then get onto the topic of weight loss and Keto! DC has lost close to 100 pounds over the last year! What was it that motivated him to start dropping weight? There are also A BUNCH of things that DC cooks, that ROCK, and are extremely Keto-friendly! The guys didn't think about a lot of the items he uses, and are just psyched that they now have some ideas to help them drop some LBs!
From a national GEICO commercial, motivation for success, becoming famous, and eating healthy... this show is PACKED! Not to mention the great nuggets of wisdom DC "SPRINKLES" into the show! He was fantastic, and they would love to have him back on some time to chat about what keeps him busy!
SO, sit back, relax and enjoy the hang out with DC the Brain Supreme, a.k.a. DC Glenn, half of the hip-hop duo, Tag Team! #grabalisten

This week's Vault episode is a special one! We go back to March 2020, and our visit with author Steve Snyder! His book "Shot Down: The true story of pilot Howard Snyder and the crew of the B-17 Susan Ruth," is the story of his dad during World War II!
Sam opens with a short opener talking about why the Lounge was dark for a few weeks.
Enjoy this Vault episode with Steve Snyder!
Original Show Notes:
For the second straight week, the guys got learned! Author Steve Snyder came to hang out in the Lounge! Steve wrote, "Shot Down: the true story of pilot Howard Snyder and the crew of the B-17 Susan Ruth." What a fantastic journey Steve took us on during his time with the guys! His father, Howard, was the namesake of the book's title! Steve tells us about how he came to write the book, and all of the people he talked to during his research, INCLUDING THE MAN WHO SHOT HIS FATHER'S PLANE DOWN! When was it that his father finally told Steve about the time he spent in Belgium? He also explains the message the book is intended to send, and the most dangerous job, in WWII. The guys sat and listened in amazement as Steve told about his father making his way to safety, from Occupied Belgium.
Steve then ventured into the world of sports and talked about his love for UCLA basketball, and the first-ever game at the famous Pauley Pavilion, on the campus of UCLA. The two-time National Champions were upset in that game... by a VERY unexpected opponent! Steve was there! Why are the Rams thinking about changing their logo?! Steve shares his thoughts! What a show! What else do we talk about? Well... THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION........ MATT! #grabalisten
If you want to check out all of the GREAT information about the book, Steve's research, and maybe score an autographed book, go to his website, https://stevesnyderauthor.com/.

If you haven't figured it out by now, the guys LOVE to laugh! This week, they were LOVING the banter when comedian, writer, and actor Aaron Kleiber came to the Lounge and hung out! Just a cool dad, Aaron has a comedy special on Amazon Prime called, "Grown @%$ Dad." You can also find it on other "audio-only" platforms (i.e. Spotify & others)! AARON WAS GREAT!

He hit close to home with Sam when Aaron talks about cargo shorts being the "dad purse" for EVERYONE ELSE'S STUFF! Aaron chats about how he toured with Harland Williams and toured with Steve-O! FIREBALLS?! Yeah... there's a story there! Aaron talks about how his family handles being the topic of his comedy, how he fleshes out a bit and hating a cartoon character! Little Matt asks Aaron about "Pam" and whether or not it was indeed the in the guys' home state! Aaron explains that "Only Pam Can Judge!" Such an incredible hang out with Aaron! How would older comics translate to today's world of comedy? How about watching "the Office?" Aaron puts his own special spin that he and his wife put onto watching the show during the pandemic! He also tells about what he HAD going on until March 2020 hit! What a great dude! Aaron talks about MAYBE coming back regularly to have some "Dad Chat" with the guys!
