That's Not Good: A True Crime Podcast

Happy Halloween listeners! This week Amber takes you inside the five historic asylums that served the hawkeye state for over a hundred years, some still in operation today.
Without a doubt, asylums have a torrid and tainted history of abuse, over-population, mistreatment, and misunderstanding of the mental ill. Within the labrinth hallways and grandiose monuments, patients were shuffled around like cattle. To further this point, most remained just a number after death, if they were even given that diginity. It is said that most were just buried in unmarked graves scattered on the properties.
With all that residual trauma coiled beneath the veneer of treatment, is it a wonder that many of these places are speculated to be haunted? Listen in as we explore the possibilities.
As a society, we have made mistakes when dealing with mental health issues, but we are ever evolving in our understanding and therefore, treatment is making progressive leaps forward all the time.
If you take anything away from this episode, let it be the very personal stories the hosts tell of their mental heath battles and how important it is to seek help if you need it.

We don't even know how to describe this episode, it went off the rails. If you ever wanted to know what it is really like to make a semi-coherent podcast, this is not the episode for you, or maybe it is. We decided to leave this one real uncut and rough because, frankly, it is hilarious.
Somewhere in the midst of this cackle fest is a ghost story: The Haunting of Yorktown Hospital.
Be advised, there is an onslaught of dark humor, mumbling, non-sensical speech and wheeze laughter. It's a train wreck, enjoy:)

Invisible arms dragging you down, a sunken city, and the lady of the lake are just a few of the tales that lurk beneath the surface of Georgia’s Lake Lanier.

This man made reservoir has been suspect since the beginning of its conception.

Hanna, a Georgia native, has heard all the stories and even swam herself in the green waters. Dive into the sorted history and chicken eating catfish with us.
*Trigger Warning* This episodes contains decriptions of the horrendous race war that took place in Forsyth County, Georgia.
