Ep25 Matty - 2 dads 4 sons, University & a change of career
The podcast where we discuss all things dad - In this episode i chat to Matty an old school friend. Matty has 2 sons as do i and of very similar age. The first part of this conversation is about fatherhood, how Matty found it, the challenges he had and the difference when having his second child. Matty talks about his 6 year old son being assessed on the Autism pathway and some of the difficulties that come with that. The challenges of his second son arriving ' if he had been our first, he would of been our last '. We briefly discuss the V word ( yes, vasectomy )
The second part of our conversation in this episode is more focussed on Matty's change of career, working within sales jobs and eventually making the decision to go to university and study Sports therapy and Physiotherapy. It might not be as difficult as people think to go back into education and retrain when having a family. We talk about Matty working within football at non league clubs, within academies and having a stint abroad in Sweden working with full time pros.
