Tales for Children - The Tales of Punky Dunk, the Cat

05/01/21 • 10 min

Tales by the Fireside - Bedtime stories and sleep meditation

Tonight, we have a story about a mischievous little cat, and his misadventures. A story about puppies and mice and fish. A story, flushed with the charm of innocence.

Presenting “The Tales of Punky Dunk, The Cat”, written in 1912, by an unknown author. This book started appearing in a little bookshop in Chicago, but the authors name is lost to antiquity.

I really hope you enjoy listening to this short, children's book. If you do, please let me know by leaving a comment, like or review, or subscribing to whatever platform you are listening on.

We are also crowdfunding for the continued existence and expansion of the show, should you wish to get involved, please check out gofundme.com/talesbythefireside. Everything you do and every interaction you make really does mean the world.

Tonight, we have a story of animals. Lots of Animals. Of parrots and crocodiles and swallows and monkeys and old plough-horses. A story of being able to talk many, many different languages. A story about a very famous doctor, and his humble beginnings.

Proudly presenting part one of “Doctor Dolittle” by Hugh Lofting, published in 1950.

Tonight, we have a story about one of the worlds most famous fairy tale princesses. A story about evil stepmothers, and fairy godmothers. A story of pumpkins and lizards and mice, without the bibbiddy bobbiddy boo.

Proudly presenting "Cinderella", by an unknown author.
