Why Most Anxiety Is Physical And What You Can Do About It

How are you communicating your authentic self to others?

Mark Metry is on Amazon Prime's TV Docuseries "The Social Movement" season 2 attempting to solve some of the world's biggest problems. Mark is also the Host of the Global Top 100 podcast called Humans 2.0 featured by Forbes, NASDAQ, and Yahoo Finance as the "Top 21 Growing Podcasts you must listen to in 2019." Mark's show has been listened to over 10 million times and features the greatest leaders of our time and frequently converses with Billionaires, Professional Athletes, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists, and New York Times Bestselling authors exploring today's dynamic of the human experience in modern technological times of 2019.

In this episode, Mark explains the value of negative information – it can keep us alive. Our brains will go throughout our lives and pick up negative thoughts and ideas. Then, our minds will begin to tell them as if they are ours. In 2016, Mark set out to create the 2.0 version of himself. After a walk around the city, Mark realized he was overweight and needed to do something about it. So, Mark Googled how to lose weight and which diets he needed to follow. The health and wellness industry affects everyone, there is a lot of power with how companies' market and leverage what they have. The journey to weight loss just confused him even more. Eventually, Mark decided to eat natural foods and avoid chemicals.

Stay tuned as Mark uncovers the lessons he learned from his podcast, Human 2.0. Now that he has success, Mark looks to bring other people that same feeling. Success is all relative; as we climb the ladder of success, it gives us meaning in our journey. Also, Mark reveals the inspiration behind his book, Screw Being Shy.

Change Your Perspective To Overcome Challenges

This week we are bringing you a throwback episode! This is one of our first episodes from last year.
What do you do when you face a situation that challenges your emotions? It’s easy to get stuck in a rut over it. You might be tempted to just ignore the issue and hope it magically resolves, in your life and in your head, all on its own. You might develop a negative mindset about it, blame others, or start building anger and resentment.

These examples are unhealthy coping mechanisms that are easy to automatically turn to when you’re faced with difficult or hurtful dilemmas. However, wishing it away or getting angry won’t help you get to a resolution - not a positive resolution anyway.

So if your negative default settings won’t help, then what can you do to move through life’s tough times in a more positive way that actually helps you grow through the process?

You need to reframe life’s challenges! You are in control of how you think and the lens you view the world through. There is opportunity in every challenge if you make a conscious decision to look for it and embrace it. Resisting only leads to more chaos and an unsettled mind.

Listen to 5 ways you can reframe life’s challenges for a more positive outcome!

In this Episode:

  • Acceptance [ 4:00 ]
  • Gratitude [ 6:10 ]
  • Stop playing the victim [ 7:50 ]
  • Forgiveness [ 12:40 ]
  • Create a new meaning [ 15:45 ]
  • Champagne for the Change [ 24:00 ]
