Why Stephen Fry?
Unbelievable was on his ‘100years of the BBC’ happy mix (along with Dancing Queen and Mrs Robinson) but he was a fan way back before it was a global smash. We met him at an EMF gig at the Astoria in 1992 and he kindly agreed to appear on an EMF song in 1995, reading a dystopian poem about self-destruction on ‘Glass Smash Jack’ from our Cha Cha Cha album. The message of our new song ‘Hello People’ is about tolerance, who better then to verify the facts and emotions about immigration in the face of a flood of hate speech than the most intellectually rigorous and entertaining brain in the world and our very own National Treasure the great Stephen Fry.” - EMF.

The Hello People video features is a celebration: It features the faces of EMF’s fans. EMF asked the fans to send in selfies of themselves and their families and cut them into a reel which they project onto the band’s performance of the song. "It’s great to see how people come in all shapes, sizes, colours and cultures, it feels great to welcome them all into the video as EMF welcome people of all shapes, sizes, colours and cultures into our country.”

Splash Stories Lust For Life with Katie Puckrik

Splash Stories dived in at the deep end with Katie Puckrik - dancer, performer, broadcaster writer and so much more besides. She danced in the 80's with Royal Ballet Punk Michael Clark, on the Pet Shop Boys tour in '91, hit UK notoriety hosting Channel 4’s The Word in the 1990s , created and hosted the British television talk show Pyjama Party and is now fronting The Lust For Life Album Tour on vocals joining Blondie drummer, Clem Burke, former Sex Pistol and punk pioneer, Glen Matlock on bass; Iggy Pop and David Bowie collaborator, Kevin Armstrong on guitar; Luis Correia, on second guitar and touring member of Heaven 17, Florence Sabeva on keyboards.

The full 2024 tour dates are as follows:

Sat 02 Mar - St Luke's, Glasgow

Sun 03 Mar – O2 Ritz, Manchester

The band will again perform the Lust For Life album in full, as well as revisiting songs from across the individual band members’ careers with legendary artists including Blondie, David Bowie and the Sex Pistols. Some of them will be songs the band performed on the last tour but there will be a few surprises thrown in as well.

Ahead of the tour, a live version of Iggy’s ‘Neighbourhood Threat’ from the classic Lust For Life album recorded live at London’s Lexington has been released as a single.
