The Fearlessly Freelance Philosophy + Mission

In this first episode of Fearlessly Freelance, I’m here to share my on-the-ground mission behind the podcast together with my ‘why’ in creating a dedicated community for freelance women. Discover what to expect from the podcast each week from both myself and guest experts, and learn how the Fearlessly Freelance movement can help support and guide you on your freelance journey.
Fearlessly Freelance began as a simple podcast name and concept earlier in 2021, but has since grown quickly into a community and a movement for freelance women looking for connection, support and advice on their freelance journey.
Having spent the last 20 years in marketing including mentoring freelancers informally for many years, I’ve always thought about creating a dedicated education platform for freelance women specifically.
I finally realised that dream this year and launched Fearlessly Freelance as a brand and community in September 2021 with the podcast following in quick succession in October 2021.
As well as my podcast and our online community, Fearlessly Freelance also strives to be a movement for freelance women. In a space where there are a lot of free resources and tips, my mission is to create a no BS space that brings women together so that they feel seen, heard and understood.
A fearless freelancer is someone who is tired of feeling average: maybe you’re looking to create something extraordinary but you need strategy, support and inspiration. Fearlessly Freelance is here to hold space for women at whatever stage of freelance business they are at.
This podcast aims to have the conversations that freelance women need to hear, celebrating women via three core values. Firstly, confidence – creating opportunities to help you to feel more confident in business by providing resources and systems that nurture you through the sometimes difficult process of building confidence.
Secondly, Fearlessly Freelance is here to celebrate your uniqueness – helping you set your own rules, to be as individual as you like so you can stay in your own lane and avoid comparisonitis.
And thirdly, to help you feel good about yourself by championing your authentic self by helping you share your voice, protect your boundaries and create a business and life that feels great.
If you feel called to be part of our Fearlessly Freelance community, we would love for you to get involved – tell us what you want to hear on this podcast so we can have the conversations you want to hear.

The Freelancer Gameplan
The internet is full of a million free resources and tips for freelancers who want to get started in business, but from what I’ve observed there isn’t a lot of strategy that exists around how to navigate the journey in your first few years.
In today’s episode I’m sharing my 7-step gameplan to help you build out your business and get your freelance business up and running with intention and purpose. Every journey is unique, but my hope is that this blueprint will give you some structure around the proven steps you need to achieve the success you desire.
Reminder: whether you’re running a side-hustle or a full time freelance business, you’re going to need to have a purposeful strategy in place that helps you generate results. Without a strategy, you may find that self-doubt creeps in and you may find this debilitating, because it’s almost impossible to grow without a good plan.
From defining your ideal client to marketing your business and setting up systems to defining your brand, this episode is jam-packed with strategic tips, tricks and ideas to give you more clarity and direction on your business journey.
