Slash #23: Rejection Issues (Brittani Marcell)
08/24/22 • 53 min
In September of 2008, 17-year-old Brittani Marcell was brutally attacked in her own home. Her mother came home to find a man standing over Brittani holding a shovel and her daughter was horribly beaten. The man initially got away, but thanks to a determined detective and a very brave Brittani, her attacker would finally be brought to justice.
After Erin shares Brittani's story, we share some listener write-ins and updates before signing off with a palette cleanser and a shower thought.

Hey, SCKOES! It's serial killer time and this week O'Dell tells us all about an alleged serial killer from Northern Idaho. A 12-year-old girl and a 35-year-old man are missing and three women are dead. Investigators and even several folks who live in the area seem to know exactly who is responsible, but he still roams free. All clues seem to point to this guy, but could it possibly be a matter of really bad luck/timing on the alleged suspects part and tunnel vision in the case of authorities?

(Bonus) Members-Only #25: The Ken & Barbie Killers
The 90s wasn't all about boy bands, girl groups and Jersey Shore - especially not in the Toronto, Ontario area.
Paul Bernardo was a charismatic, good looking boy next door type, and his wife, Karla Homolka seemed like the perfect match for him, but when Karla winds up in the hospital claiming her husband beat her, and then proceeds to tell police that he is more than just an abusive spouse, things take a major turn.
For several years a man had preyed upon young girls, abducting, abusing and raping them, and Karla claims her husband is responsible. She also claims he is responsible for the deaths of two teenage girls. Police think they might finally have their man, but as the threads unwind, they realize that Karla may not be the innocent victim she claims to be.
