Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007) | Movie Review
09/04/18 • 64 min
Although Halloween Resurrection wasn't a box office failure, it did fail to satisfy fans who felt the new things it did for the series weren't ultimately satisfying nor even remotely close to the heart of Halloween. What the franchise needed was another reboot. For the first time, Halloween got a remake, quasi-prequel, and reimagining. Musician Rob Zombie was brought on to direct a Halloween more terrifying and visceral for the post-Saw horror genre. In 2007, audiences received a graphic, nihilistic vision of Michael Myers, his family, and the innocent teenage babysitters. Did it reignite fans urge for the Halloween series to continue? Join Corbin and Allen to find out!

Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) | Movie Review
It turns out what Steven Spielberg thought was the last crusade, in fact, was simply the third installment in the franchise. Spielberg's co-creator for Indiana Jones, George Lucas, had other plans. Ever since the third film wrapped, Lucas wanted to figure a way to bring Indy back to the big screen. Well, in early 2000, Lucas got his wish when he convinced the original creators and actor Harrison Ford to return for an adventure...this time involving space aliens? After close to a decade of working on the story, audiences young and old (re)discovered their favorite treasure hunting charmer in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Is this 21st-century installment enough to woo audiences back to a two-decade dormant franchise? Join Corbin and Allen to find out!

Suspiria (1977) | Movie Review & Analysis | First in the Three Mothers Trilogy
Famed Italian master of horror, Dario Argento, brought his terrifying vision of bright colors and lights with a sinister score from Goblin to the United States big screen. In 1977, the horror genre had stalled with uninspiried sequels such as Exorcist II: The Heretic. Alas, horror came into its own niche with independent films such as Eraserhead and The Hills Have Eyes and, of course, Suspiria. Considered one of the greatest horror films of all time, Argento weaves a nightmarish vision of wild colors, witches, and ballet dancers. With unforgettable craft, Argento's vision of horror is unparalleled. Join Corbin and Allen as they discuss the first installment in Argento's Three Mothers trilogy leading up to the remake of Suspiria this November!
