Sandra opens up about the challenges she faced in embracing vulnerability but ultimately found healing and strength in sharing her story. Drawing inspiration from the biblical tale of Joseph, Sandra reflects on her own life's journey and the profound impact of her experiences.
Born in the province of Mpumalanga and raised in Johannesburg, Sandra's upbringing in a Christian family provided her with a strong foundation of faith. However, it was a devastating loss that shook her to her core – the sudden passing of her beloved mother in 2021. In the midst of her grief, Sandra found solace in her faith, realizing that her mother's spirit lived on in heaven, free from pain.
As Sandra navigated this profound loss, she discovered a newfound strength in sharing her story with others. Despite her initial reluctance, she found that her vulnerability gave hope to those who were struggling, inspiring them to persevere through their own challenges.
Reflecting on her colourful upbringing in South Africa, Sandra shares the impact of her parent's divorce and the role it played in shaping her resilience. Despite facing adversity, she pursued her education and embarked on a career in banking before ultimately following her passion for creativity and transitioning into digital marketing.
Born near the end of the apartheid era, Sandra acknowledges the painful history of her country while embracing a message of love, reconciliation, and healing. As a Christian, she believes in the power of empathy and compassion to bridge divides and foster understanding.
Through her story, Sandra reminds us that while pain and suffering may be inevitable, it is our response to them that defines us. With courage, faith, and a commitment to healing, Sandra's journey serves as a beacon of hope for women everywhere.
