Christy and I danced through our conversation about consent in the context of dance, life and with yourself. We talk about the inner critic and how that can affect the boundaries you create with yourself and others.

She speaks about how being a mother was her greatest challenge and how dance supported her to have time to come back to herself and give herself the support she needed.

We talk openly about how through dance we have had some of our biggest truths come in and how beautiful it can be to be witnessed as we feel that pain that can come with realizing those profound truths.

We are both huge advocates of dance and we have both practiced supporting our path as we continue to grow and heal.

Christy is one of my best friends and she has been a guide, ally, healer, teacher and space holder. We have had the privilege to witness each other over the years grow and heal. I love dancing with her and the tribe of women we gather with annually in Canada to dance into our sacred feminine.

Her story is full of personal challenges that she approaches with humor, authenticity, vulnerability, and beauty.

As we talk we unfold the way we similarly work with our own mental health and chronic pain challenges. It is also the same approach we have with our clients.

She Will Rise Podcast - Sophia Treyger: Go from Pleaser to Pleasure
play

08/09/17 • 54 min

Sophia Treyger invites us women to go from a pleaser to pleasure. She has dedicated her life to helping women go from being a pleaser and giving your power away to experiencing pleasure in life.

This is such a big topic I hear women talk about, how we take care and give to everyone else before ourselves.

We talk about how we start to honor ourselves first, create powerful boundaries to take care of our body, heart, mind and soul and find pleasure by feeling our bodies, emotions and desires.

We touched on so many hard to talk about places that women face day to day around our sexuality, our emotions and how to move through the world feeling a deep sense of pleasure.

Sophia has lovingly gifted us a few things to support our movement into more of a pleasure orientated life.

She Will Rise Podcast - Jainee Dial: Grief and Death

Jainee Dial: Grief and Death

She Will Rise Podcast

play

07/26/17 • 60 min

Grief and death are such a taboo subject and Jainee speaks about it so beautifully.

Wow, what a powerful chat this was. There were many moments where I had tears in my eyes and my heart was full of emotion. My heart feels full and warm after connecting with Jainee.

Her experience of working with grief and the unique way she embraced it, is a powerful offering for all of us.

She speaks of her most used practice of writing as a tool for healing, ceremony as what is sacred to you and a necessary way of honoring who and what has passed.

The chapters, as Jainee says, of grief, are a way of measuring what how far you have come on a path and that path does not have a goal or a destination. We do not forget those we have lost and wake up one day saying I am done with this, but we do wake up as time goes, and find a deeper acceptance of what is.

Here is the link for the B-Rad foundation. The foundation that was created in the loving memory of her partner Brad.

Here are the links for WYLDER, Jainee's amazing business that is supporting women to get outside and be conscious of our impact we have on the wild we love to explore.

She has offered our listeners 10% off until December 31st, 2017 with the code: shewillrise

She Will Rise Podcast - Anastasia Hirst: Healing Through Horses
play

09/13/17 • 46 min

Anastasia shares her story in healing through horses.

She has worked with horses in a therapeutic way for years and is now traveling the world creating a documentary about the power of healing through horses.

This conversation was so inspiring for me as I am diving into the world of equine assisted therapy and have been experiencing great healing over the last in relationship with these powerful beings

Her documentary, Equus: Healing Through Horses, is all about enlightening the world how horses can facilitate a level of healing that we as humans don't easily have access to because they communicate in a whole different way.

There are so many great programs out there that involve equines and I wholeheartedly encourage any woman who has experienced trauma check out how horses could support your healing.

Her documentary is already creating great waves of awareness in this area of healing. If you love horses or have experienced healing with your own horse you know what we are talking about. If you are curious about how other people work with the horses in a healing capacity please check out her documentary. There are many ways you can support this project and I invite you too.

She Will Rise Podcast - Alice Bracegirdle: How to cultivate positive body image
play

07/19/17 • 61 min

Alice Bracegirdle shares so much more than just about body image in the fitness industry. Becoming a single mother after leaving a violent relationship, showed her just how hard life can get. From there BellyFit was born and she has been on a path of helping women heal their idea of what their body should or should not look like.

She is an advocate for positive body image in honoring the female body. Alice was able, through her advocacy, get an advertisement changed on the back of a bus in Victoria BC, that was body shaming.

Alice is not afraid to shine and be the brightest light she can be. Her intuition was a guide in creating BellyFit and we talk about just how important intuition is for a woman.

Alice would like to offer a free episode of BellyfitTVTM to all listeners. Emily shares how her near-death experience as a child ignited her intuition which has guided her on her own unique path of spirituality.

She follows her intuition with herself and her students. She has experienced lifetimes of trauma in her life and shares very openly about her journey with it.

Emily has so much to share and is full of life. Her big energy is inspiring and I felt like I was experiencing her life as she told it. She is a living example of how you can connect to your purpose, no matter how hard life can get, and in that life will take care of you. Sometimes those desperate times are when we are raw enough get the clarity we need to move forward.

Uncovering past trauma that we bury so deeply because we can't deal with that in the moment, can be healed once we have the tools and support to deal with them. She shares how it creates more compassion in her life.
