After spending a lot of time expounding on the words of Isaiah, Nephi get's back to the plainness of the gospel in his writings and final testimony. The gospel at its core is simple and plain, yet wonderfully perfect. Christ was baptized not only to set an example, but also to keep the Father's commandments in which he states that all must be born of the water in order to enter the kingdom of Heaven. The Lord wants to be involved in our lives. Even though Nephi felt weak in writing, he did so anyway knowing the Lord would provide. The Lord can do the same for us in our lives. Men carry the words of the Lord unto the hearts of men and Spirit carries the words of the Lord into the hearts of men. We must be willing to receive the spirit. Finally, Nephi and his people leaving Jerusalem which was destroyed is compared to our current goals that Nasa and Elon Musk have in getting people on Mars. It would be like a colony being established on Mars and then Earth being destroyed. A whold new beginning with nothing left. Nephi and his completely left their world behind to begin a life in a new world, the promised land.
