In this electrifying Season Two premiere of #RockStarLife: Coffee Break, I’m finally beaming down from my UFO after a summer hiatus to chat with a very special guest—none other than "the godfather of podcasting", Rich Bennett. Rich is the mastermind of the Conversations with Rich Bennett podcast (where I'm a co-host) and Rich is who you can thank for this podcast, as he is the one who launched me into the podcasting cosmos. Together, we have a coffee break to dive into the world of indie podcasting, working in nightlife, the super haunted Franklin Castle in Cleveland, Ohio, with other paranormal places back in Maryland, and why old-school records are the best.
And before we recorded this coffee break, we recorded an episode of Rich’s podcast with Brad Cox, from the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast, and began this chat with why Brad is the best!!! We also get into the behinds the scene tea of a Mental Health Roundtable podcast episode we did together in August 2022, where I was messy (but still journalistic) and questioned the mental health professionals present about the research into using psychedelics as a treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that didn't make the episode.

Mike also spills about his current investigation—a wickedly haunted farmhouse on the Eastern Shore. It’s not just spooky; it’s next-level complex, as well as adventures with other haunted gems in Maryland like Glendale Hospital and Gunpowder State Park. Let's be real: Maryland is a unrated rockstar of the paranormal, with its old asylums, abandoned hospitals, and historic spirits.

We get into his roots as an urban explorer and photographer with how he leveled up these adventures into running a popular Youtube Channel. Plus, we talk his investigations into the Villisca Axe Murder House, Madison Seminary, and the Vampa Museum. Oh, and we drag unethical ghost hunters because, let’s face it, that mess ain’t cute. And because we did a mini investigation before recording, some ghost activity went down during the chat.

As I watched the snowflakes fall outside my window in Baltimore, I couldn’t help but wonder: What’s the best way to spend an unexpected day off? For a drag alien like me, the answer was simple—light a good indica pre-roll, toss some vegan chili in the crockpot, and binge-watch the absolute chaos that is And Just Like That. Somewhere in the fantasy of it all, I felt a familiar pang... a need to roast this show to keep warm on this enchanted snow day.

Sex and the City and I go way back—like 12-year-old me sneaking episodes on pirated cable in 2001. And Just Like That? Bad.. almost camp. I had to rush to the mic to rant, bitch, and reminisce about the characters I’ve known forever—and WTF happened to them.

💔 Samantha Jones: the missing ingredient in the SATC cocktail. Her AI-generated text cameos? Ugh. Either throw an obscene amount of money at Kim Cattrall to return or cast Countess Luann as herself, brunching with these ladies and spilling the tea about her own life.
🤣 Che Diaz: committing crimes against stand up comedy while serving a Zara jacket I totally rocked back in 2018. Truly the worst, but they are an animal lover.
🤷‍♂️ Miranda: once a sarcastic powerhouse, now a baffling stranger in her own life. Seriously, who is she?
📺 The cultural legacy of SATC: Annoying, aspirational, and as detached from reality as a dragon in Game of Thrones, leading a pack of Vanderpump Rules delusionals to move to NYC, thinking it’s all real.

And of course, no dissection of AJLT would be complete without connecting it to Legacy RHONY. My ultimate wish? Dorinda Medley and Luann de Lesseps turning up in Season 3 to teach these women the art of real chaos, and give us fans what we deserve.

For this coffee break, I sit down with local Comic BAM Jacobs to have him watch one of my favorite movies, Showgirls, to get the straight guy take on this cult classic film about Las Vegas showgirls. We deep dive into the amazing and cringy parts of this movie, plus the Havre de Grace comedy scene, Kathy Griffin, The Kardashians, Havre de Grace “townies” gossip, Porn stars, Tim Dillion, and how comics are the philosophers in this political climate. Darlings, this RHOBH Season 14 premiere was so good I had to run straight to the mic— vape in hand—to QUEEN OUT about it! The drama, Dorit, the chaos... this episode had it all.

First, let’s talk about Dorit. Not only did she and PK drop the ultimate Housewives nuke—divorce announcement—but Dorit finally lit up ON CAMERA, giving us a smoking moment that took me all the way back to RHONY legends Dorinda, Tinsley, and Luann. I LIVE for a cigarette cameo; it’s raw, unfiltered, and peak aspirational mess. Dorit smoking while while driving her G-Wagon? ICONIC.

Meanwhile, Kyle Richards remains insufferable (surprise!), but Erika’s blonde is serving? Finally something to celebrate. And Sutton’s surrealist soirée? More Kylie Minogue than Salvador Dalí, but honestly, I’m here for the camp. Plus, you know I couldn’t help but drop some art history knowledge as we judge every detail, as it tells who is has brains and who doesn't.

And can we just pause for Kathy Hilton, who exists in a realm of rich eccentricity that makes even these women look relatable? Also, where is the Kim Richards drama? That chaos deserves screen time!

This premiere was EVERYTHING, and I am buzzing with opinions. Grab your Parliaments, a Gucci lighter, and let's talk about this amazing episode as the RHOBH ladies delivered!!!
