Joe's latest album, "Listen to the Blood," released January 14, is a very personal journey through the mind of this amazing artist whose modern take on country music is both heartfelt and wonderfully structured. His album is a posthumous tribute to his Dad, who was a touring musician and played at the Grand Ole Opry for 30 years. Joe takes it to an even higher level by wearing his Dad's original blood-red suit on stage -- a striking and lovely tribute. Joe's heart also belongs on the road where he relishes the opportunity to portray his songs in a live setting, and where his gift for intimate storytelling -- honed at open mics and with a deep love of poetry -- truly comes alive. Welcome to Roadcase, a podcast exploring the live music experience!! For this first episode of Season 3, we are super-psyched to have on the show Faye Webster, an extraordinarily talented artist, songwriter and vocalist. Welcome to Roadcase!! Erika Wennerstrom has been performing in her band Heartless Bastards for close to 20 years now has recently released a gorgeous new album, A Beautiful Life, which she co-produced with Kevin Ratterman, in which confronts the challenges and nuances of the day within a truly innovative sonic landscape. A native of Ohio, Erika now calls Austin, TX home, and she talks about her early days booking her own shows, working hard and playing every gig she could -- which ultimately resulted in a chance meeting with Patrick Carney of The Black Keys and signing with Fat Possum Records! Erika has been defiant in staying true to herself and considers herself "a songwriter that performs live." She has played countless shows and her tours with Drive-By Truckers are legendary. Although the band was forced to cancel their January 2022 European dates due to Covid, she will be hitting the road again in February and April with Flaming Lips -- a unique combination of artistry for sure!
