EP68 - Avoid Repeating Unhealthy Family Patterns
11/14/23 • 27 min
Someone wise once said: “We repeat what we don’t repair.”
We all have parts of us that originate from our families, caregivers, or growing up experiences. We experience modeling from those who raise us, guiding us as adults in the way we communicate, argue, cope, love, connect, and grow. Some of these traits can be good, while others may be toxic and unhealthy. Now think about yourself. What are some of the traits that you are grateful for that your loved ones bestowed upon you? What about the unhealthy ones? Do you even know what the unhealthy ones are? Or how to overcome them? That is where we can help!
Join us as we guide you through identifying, correcting, and avoiding future unhealthy behaviors and traits given to us by our families. Let us help you begin your journey of repairing, so you do not repeat the unhealthy family patterns that lurk within you. Let’s break the generational patterns and choose healthy connection, conflict, love, and coping together!
If you find this episode, or any of our other episodes, helpful to you, please share with those that you love! Let us know what you think about what you want us to talk about next by emailing us at [email protected]!
In two weeks, we will offer guidance to premarital couples to have long-term relationship health and success. Later topics include: parenting, self-acceptance, domestic violence, premarital tips for relationship success, navigating milestones as a couple, how to have tough conversations, self-awareness in relationships, and so much more!
