#4 - Richard Lawrence

01/25/21 โข 87 min
Today I am talking with Richard Lawrence, the owner and funder of Feck.com the company that runs a few different platforms with erotic media.
Richard started with an intention of humanising the idea of porn. He did not want to show it through the male gaze perspective and he thought that it would be more interesting to give a woman a camera and to let her express herself. This is how I Shot Myself, Beautiful Agony and I Feel Myself were created.
In today's podcast, Richard told us different stories from his personal life, and one of them stood out for me the most, and it was the story of his first kiss with the babysitter. We also talked about more serious topics like socially responsible erotica and the importance of values that the porn portraits.
I really enjoyed my conversation with Richard, and I hope you will enjoy this interview too. He is a very interesting person with a tone of experience to share.

#3 - Abigail Williams
Abigail Wiliams, a very intelligent, good-hearted activist and sex performer, who completed her degree in anthropology and sociology. Now she works toward her PhD that talks about regulation of online pornography in the UK and how this affects the people who produce it. She gives lectures on a university and she works together with National Ugly Mugs UK - a charity that works toward ending violence against sex workers.
We talked about her personal experience as a porn performer, her attraction toward women and why it was hard at first for her to understand being attracted to anyone else than men. Abigaile talked about how she gained her first sexual experience in a threesome and how her abusive (past) relationship directed her toward porn. We dived deeper into talking about her favourite fetishes and how porn can help young people to explore their sexuality.
I also would like to note small friction that went unnoticed during the recording of this podcast. We had some sound issues and sometimes the audio may go very low, sorry for this! Likely the audio problem is only on my side, and you can hear perfectly fine everything that Abigail says, and her message is the one that is powerful and must be heard!
So If you are eager to hear from Abigail jump on this podcast and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I did.

#5 Jason Domino - HIV, PrEP and The Industry
Today's podcast is the first one where a sex worker speaks in-depth on a selected topic. The person with whom I had a pleasure to talk with is Jason Domino. Jason is the sexual health and wellbeing lead for the UK Adult Professionals (UKAP) and a practising sex worker. Jason speaks from his own experience and he is very vested in and passionate about sexual health, specifically topics like HIV and PrEP. I have learned a lot from talking to him and he provided me with more information than I have gotten from anyone in the past few years on this topic. I hope you will find it useful and it will help you to ask further questions. The interview was focused around HIV prevention, function and use of PrEP and PeP, the importance of understanding different HIV tests and what is the window period, and how it works.
This podcast contains a lot of detailed information, and at the end of it, you may have more questions. For this (and many other) reasons we have opened a comment section on http://redcheeks.org/jason. If you want to know more, need further clarification or have general feedback feel free to leave a comment. Please remember to be generous and constructive in your comments. Nasty and sarcastic behaviour will not be tolerated.
