Ep 31: Why The Copy and Paste Strategies Aren't Working

04/06/22 • 23 min

Real Talk with Regan

Do you work hard to develop great content and offers and then bomb your sales calls? Do you feel sleazy when you’re selling? Like maybe you’re just annoying people? Do you rely on “proven” copy-and-paste sales scripts for your calls? If you work hard to produce great content and then butcher your sales calls and experience burnout and frustration, this podcast episode is essential.

Buckle up for some straight shooting from Regan as she explains why copy-and-paste sales scripts don’t do you any favors when it comes to selling and how you can learn to sell any of your offers with confidence and ease.

Peek behind the scenes and find out Regan’s three-step framework for ditching copy-and-paste strategies for good. Stop avoiding selling at all costs, mimicking others’ words, and instead, learn to sell. Once you have that solid foundation, you can write copy and deliver sales calls that convert every time!

Highlights in this episode:
- Many people avoid selling at all costs, relying on mimicking others to get the job done.
- Why copying scripts from the beginning leads to a lack of understanding of the basic concepts of what you’re selling and how to sell it.
- Developing an individualized sales plan rather than a copied one is essential before selling your programs/services.
-Regan describes how clients work alongside her to learn the concepts of sales.
- Learn how to best practice your sales calls, allowing you to build confidence and feel laid back (and NOT sleazy or sale-sy)
- Regan explains how she helps her clients handpick questions to practice based on their businesses.
- Sales don’t need to be overwhelming. If you build a solid foundation, you can rock sales and feel authentic and resonate more with your ideal client.

Ep 30: Is it Doubt or is it Habitual Thinking?

Kick self-doubt to the curb and start thinking on purpose! In this episode, Regan talks about doubt, where it REALLY comes from, and how it can hold you back from living the life you want. She'll help you recognize the endless cycle of habitual thinking, self-doubt, and inertia in your life and business. Hit play on this episode now to learn how to question, heal and move through negative mindsets so you can allow yourself to feel doubt without allowing it to paralyze you in your business or life!

Doubt is natural and, in fact, is helpful in keeping us safe. But sometimes, our habitual thinking - our idea of what is a fact - can be mistaken for doubt. Regan uses the example of debt. Many of us were taught from a young age that "debt" = "irresponsible." This isn't necessarily true; debt can sometimes save us money in the long run when we use this debt as an investment. But even so, our brain has coupled these two things - debt and irresponsibility - together. To move forward, it is crucial that we uncouple the facts as we see them and instead recognize them for what they are: conditioning/habitual thinking.

Highlights in this episode:

  • Habitual thinking isn't really doubt, but our idea of what is a fact.
  • Regan gives insight on how to break our habitual thinking by first recognizing the thought, collecting evidence to the contrary, and replacing our habitual thought with actual fact.
  • How doubt is simply borrowed thoughts from others. It is the scapegoat for habitual thinking.
  • Doubt isn't an accurate thinker; it's just your brain's setting. Your brain can cruise in this lane forever, but it doesn't mean you're on the right track!
  • Find out how finding a great coaching container, like Regan's, plays a critical role in moving you deeper and faster in getting to the root of your negative mindsets to heal and move forward.

Ep 32: The Missing Piece in Your Strategy Diagnosed

If you’ve ever had thoughts like, “I’m a failure...I’m doing something wrong...I’m not meant for this,” when it comes to your coaching business, you wouldn’t be alone. Host Regan Storm has seen this over and over again with her coaching clients. Before coming to her, they were spinning their wheels, doubting their abilities, grasping for new strategies, and getting nowhere.

This inability to move forward and succeed is often misdiagnosed, leading to you working harder, leaving you exhausted, burnt out, and incredibly frustrated. In this episode, Regan sets the record straight about what’s really lacking in your business. She lifts the curtain inside her coaching program and tells you exactly how she helps clients find the missing piece to make a profitable and purposeful coaching business.

Highlights in this episode:

  • Regan tells you why you need to stop hustling harder, over-investing in courses, and instead look within.
  • Why you don’t need more strategy to succeed, you need to shift your self-perception and do more identity development in order to attract clients to you.
  • How identity work is SIMPLE, but not EASY, and why working with a coach like Regan will significantly improve the outcome.
  • Your business needs you to be patient. Don’t be afraid to sit in uncomfortable feelings rather than trying quickly to change them.
  • Uncover why doing less and listening more to the needs of your business will get you to your goals faster.
  • If you make less than $100K, simplify your offers. Make it easy for your potential client to choose to work with you.
  • Why having one offer builds credibility faster and avoids self-sabotage in your business.
  • Entrepreneurs live in two worlds - one where people are satisfied with being average and don’t understand your vision and one in which you are supported and connected to your higher self.
  • Investing in coaching allows your vision to be seen, supported, and up-leveled by someone who KNOWS you can make your dream a reality.
  • Stay tuned to the end for a special offer from Regan!
