Real Rebel Podcast
Katie Buemann
The Real Rebel Podcast is for the people who push the boundaries of our society. For the people who live on the fringe. For the people who aren't afraid to question the status quo and live life as exactly who they are. Not as who they should be. These are the people who make us uncomfortable. Who speak truth and break glass ceilings. Who aren't afraid to stand up and face themselves. Who refused to be oppressed and help us expand and evolve the edges of humanity. These are the Real Rebels. And this podcast is for them.

Audio Coffee: Calming Anxiety
Real Rebel Podcast
01/11/21 • 25 min
Can you smell that gorgeous aroma? Mmm yes. That’s coffee. For your ears.
This is the first Audio Coffee since April 2020 and it is so very good to be back joining you for your Monday morning beverage (or whenever and wherever this happens to find you).
This episode is all about anxiety and some ways to help move through and soothe it. There’s a lot of extra anxiety surfacing these days with the state of the world, not to mention the vibrational energetic shift we’re experiencing as we move from 3D to 5D, so first things first, you’re not alone in feeling a little... untethered.
A few things I riff on in this episode...
- A perspective shift on how I see anxiety
- A few reasons why it might be showing up
- How you can soften its intensity
- How you can shift the energy and use it to your benefit
- Shifting from 3D to 5D
- And some new announcements for the RRP!
I hope you find this episode helpful. Honestly, it’s just good to be back and sharing a moment with you. I really can feel you there when I record. Like we’re having a little chat.

This episode has been a long time coming. News I've been excited to share for a long while now. A creation that sits very close to my heart and what I hope will prove to serve as an anchor and connection point for you on your journey home.
I'll leave it at that, and the rest you can learn about by tuning in. ;)

Janne Robinson: Speaking Truth Unapologetically
Real Rebel Podcast
02/20/19 • 73 min
On this episode, I talk with Janne Robinson a 21st-century feminist beat poet who is a real live badass woman and someone I’ve been waiting to have on since the beginning.
Janne lives the California dream driving her Jeep to the nearest surf spot before she even thinks about diving into anything else for the day. She is wild, she is free, and she is living her truth through and through. Her outspoken and powerful prose hits home on a level few can reach. She simply is, unapologetically Janne.
Heather Woodruff: Taking Care of Your Gut
Real Rebel Podcast
11/21/17 • 51 min
In this episode, I chat with Heather Woodruff a Digestion Guru and Certified Nutritional Practitioner. If you experience digestive upset like bloating, IBS etc. then this episode is for you. Heather and I get deep into the topic of the gut and the power and importance of microbial balance.
Heather is a Digestion Guru and Certified Nutritional Practitioner. She reminds me of a digestion fairy godmother. She is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to digestion and is a genius at helping people discover what may be upsetting the balance in their gut. Heather knows how to work to heal the gut and get it back to super ninja status! Not to mention she may be one of the sweetest people I have ever met!
Heather is incredibly knowledgeable and approaches health in a very sane and easy to implement kind of way. After I chatted with her I felt like I had been visited by the health and wellness fairy. You probably will too. ;)

Leah Brathwaite: Becoming Truly Free
Real Rebel Podcast
09/11/19 • 58 min
On this episode, I talk with Leah Brathwaite and let me tell you, it was incredibly fun, transformative, and deeply inspiring. I love everything about Leah and the work she does. Dare I say she’s a Soul Sister of sorts.
Leah is a Soul Advisor and Author of the best selling book “A New Way of Life". Her work is all about freedom and coming home to yourself. It’s far too often the story that we get so disconnected from ourselves that we end up living a life that feels nothing like us. A life where we feel trapped and uninspired.
This is exactly the experience Leah went through. She had everything she was “supposed” to have. The house, the car, the job, the marriage, only to realize she actually didn’t want any of it. None of it was truly her. And so she set off on the journey of coming home to herself. One that she calls a “constant transformation”. Which I would wholeheartedly agree with.
She now lives her life doing exactly what she wants to do. She has allowed herself to not only see her desires, but to really claim them and welcome them into her life. But she will be the first to tell you it’s not always roses and sunshine. It’s constant growing, new learning, and understanding on an even deeper level what it means to truly live a life that is free.
So, if you feel trapped, disconnected, uninspired, anxious, or lost, then this episode should hit you right where you need it to. It’s my hope that it does.

Band of Rebels: Advice to Your 20-Year-Old-Self (Part 6)
Real Rebel Podcast
05/24/19 • 16 min
On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Band of Rebels edition, we're doing things a bit differently. For the span of the next 6 weeks, I’ll be asking 18 Rebels the same question. “What advice would you give your 20-year-old-self?” The panel of Real Rebels for this episode are Jess Dales from Jess Wandering, Kylie McBeath from Zura Health, and Sheleana Aiyana from Rising Woman.
Each of their answers was taken from the end of their previous episodes when I ask them this question in the rapid-fire segment.
The Band of Rebels series was designed to act as a platform for the voices of the RRP Community. So often we listen to a podcast and don't ever connect with fellow listeners. We also live in a world where we're judged by the number of followers we have. Often times we only end up hearing the wisdom and voices of those who have large social followings. This isn't to say those humans are lovely humans, I just feel it's important to branch out. Just because someone has 10 followers doesn't mean they don't know some good sh*t worth sharing.
I firmly believe that we all have a deep inner-wisdom, regardless of the number of followers we have to our name. The Band of Rebels series puts the mic in the hands of people you might not otherwise hear from while simultaneously connects you lovely listeners with other listeners whose wisdom might just be the remedy you needed.
Lots of love!

Harrison Scott Key: The Dreamer's Path
Real Rebel Podcast
03/26/20 • 75 min
In this episode, I talk with Harrison Scott Key and I have to say, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much during an interview before. If you’re a dreamer and looking for something to help you along your journey, this is the episode for you. Also, if you’re just looking for a good laugh and need a little lightness in your day, we’ve got you covered.
A little about Harrison, he is the author of two books—Congratulations, Who Are You Again? and The World's Largest Man, winner of the Thurber Prize for American Humor. He has spoken at TEDx and hundreds of book festivals, conferences, and universities around the nation. Harrison's humor and nonfiction have appeared in The Best American Travel Writing, Oxford American, Outside, The New York Times, The Bitter Southerner, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, Town & Country, The Mockingbird, Salon, Savannah Magazine, Reader's Digest, Image, Southern Living, Gulf Coast, Creative Nonfiction, and more. He holds an M.F.A. in creative nonfiction and a Ph.D. in playwriting and works at SCAD, where he has held appointments as chair of liberal arts, professor of English, professor of writing, and executive dean. He lives in Savannah, Georgia, with wife and children.
I first found Harrison through is TedX Talk (linked below) which I highly recommend checking out. I was immediately drawn to his sense of humor and honesty about what it takes to follow your dreams. I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I clearly enjoyed recording it.

Band of Rebels: Connecting Back to Yourself
Real Rebel Podcast

On this episode of the Real Rebel Podcast Band of Rebels edition, we're featuring RRP Crew members Laura Fox, Amanda Gangoso, and Kiley Redhead. The question we are posing today is "When do you feel most like yourself? What do you do when you feel disconnected?"
The Band of Rebels series was designed to act as a platform for the voices of the RRP Community. So often we listen to a podcast and don't ever connect with fellow listeners.
