Which episode should someone start with?

A friend told me my Halloween episode from 2022 (RRA #19 - Monsters) is one they like to recommend, so I'll go with that one, but you can really jump in anywhere.

Which have been your favourite episodes so far?

I'm terrible at picking favorites!! But RRA #19 - Monsters and RRA #7 - In Nature were a ball to make because of all the sound design.

Which episode are you most proud of?

Hard to say! I'm more proud--that is, gratified--that I've managed to keep putting out new episodes every 2 weeks for almost a year and a half.

What is your vision for your show?

To create a place where listeners feel at home, and safe to ask their hard questions, and hopeful that they'll find answers. I want the show to be like an old friend or a well-worn garment or a favorite song: it just makes you feel good. I also want it to be a place where blues musicians would love to share their music and let me rave about it! The show is a locus of everything I love, and if I can share that with others who love the same things, then we all win.

What is your favourite other podcast that isn't yours?

"Nant Fawr Brews"! Keep crushing it, Andy!

How did you come up with the name for your podcast?

"Ramblings" are the show's segments: meandering but meaningful thought streams that take you to new and interesting places. "A revenant alien" is me, but I'm not the only one, hence "A" not "The." Revenant means resurrected, which I am, through my faith. Alien means I don't quite belong on earth, but I'm here for the duration. The whole name just came together, and though it's a bit of a mouthful, I love it. Though, I do hope RRA (said "double-R-A") will become the popular shorthand.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I grew up writing, making music, and loving stories, whether movies/TV, novels, or audio productions. As a descendant of three generations of pastors, speaking is in my blood, but I've never felt a calling to occupy a pulpit. I'd much rather have meaningful conversations outside the mainstream, with honest seekers of truth, because I believe truth is real and close at hand. Also, I love the blues--always have--and my current life goal is to take the music in my soul and get it out.
