Today we welcome Praying Medic on the Pursuing Redemption Podcast. We have an amazing discussion on God's healing miracles and how you can experience His power and authority in everyday life. We also talk about the dreams he's been having and how to prepare for what's ahead for the United States.
Praying Medic's Bio:
My life prior to the year 2000 was pretty ordinary. I was an atheist, doing the best I could to keep things moving in a positive direction. One day, I had an encounter with Jesus in the bunk room of a fire station that forever changed my life.

In 2008, God appeared to me in a dream and said He would heal my patients if I prayed for them. I didn’t believe in healing at the time, but I reluctantly began praying. I had no idea what I was doing, but along the way, I stumbled upon some keys to operating in healing and miracles. In 2009, I began blogging about the people I prayed with who were being healed.

I write about a variety of subjects including healing, dreams, seeing in the spirit, hearing God’s voice, economics, politics, and Qanon.

John and I speak about his journey with Jesus and how he learned about the Father's heart. John's visits to heaven and subsequent visitations from Jesus highlight how relational our God is. John does an amazing job of explaining how emotional healing and forgiveness is a process. Untangling our emotions with the Lord leads to the ultimate freedom.
John and Barbara Fenn were born in Kokomo, Indiana and grew up just a few miles from each other. They began dating as teenagers and were born again together and baptized with the Holy Spirit at age 16. Each attended Indiana University after graduating high school and were then married in 1978.

Their first year of marriage they worked for the PTL Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, learning a lot about how to do and not to do ministry! They moved to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area in 1979, and John graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1980.

They moved to the Boulder, Colorado area in the spring of 1980, and over the next 12 years John served in various capacities including Campus Minister at the University of Colorado in Boulder, pastor, associate pastor, and traveling minister.

In late 1992 they (and their 3 sons) moved to Tulsa to become involved with Victory Christian Center, a church of about 13,000 members, Billy Joe and Sharon Daugherty, pastors.

John served as Associate Director of Victory Bible Institute, the Bible school of Victory Christian Center, and then became Executive Director where he served for three years. Resigning in the summer of 2000, he began traveling and teaching in churches and Bible schools all over the country.

In the fall of 2000 Peter Wagner asked John to become the Educational Advisor to the Apostolic Council of Educational Accountability (ACEA), the group of Bible schools around the world affiliated with Peter and Global Harvest Ministries. He also became a faculty member of the Wagner Leadership Institute (WLI), based out of the World Prayer Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In December of 2000 John was asked to become the Canadian National Director for WLI.

After starting The Church Without Walls International, John severed ties with Peter Wagner and Global Harvest, as they were moving in different directions.

It seems that over 37+ years of walking with the Lord and in ministry, the Lord has allowed John and Barb to be associated with various ministries before they started getting off balance, then moving them on, taking the best part of things learned with them.

John is the author of “Pursuing the Seasons of God” and ‘

Dirk Smith, of EEM, and I discuss how God is using the Bible to bring transformation to the people of Ukraine and surrounding Communist countries. The stories of how embracing the Bible have given hope to the hopeless is awe inspiring. We discuss how God can change nations through his word and what could happen if this was embraced in the West.
Eastern European Mission, announced its goal achievement in the Bibles for Kids campaign of delivering more than 570,000 Bibles to kids in Eastern Europe in 2024 - bringing the total over the last three years to more than 1.7 million Bibles in 19 different languages to nations like Hungary, Croatia, North Macedonia, Ukraine, Romania and Albania.

“It's crucial that we engage kids with the Gospel while they are young,” said EEM Vice President Dirk Smith. “As we are experiencing here in the West, it’s much more difficult to build a Christ-centered character if someone isn’t reached with the message of Jesus until their later teen years.” To learn more about Bibles for Kids, visit www.eem.org/bfk. Churches, ministries, mission points, and schools from Central and Eastern Europe can request free Bibles at https://eemeurope.org/our-books/.

Pursuing Redemption - Jerod Long Speaks About 'God's Heart for Healing'
play

05/15/24 • 47 min

God's heart is for healing! That is the life-giving message that Jerod and Candice Long discovered as they watched their boys battle life-threatening illnesses. Along the journey, they asked the hard questions that everyone asks when facing a health crisis.
Questions like:
Why do we get sick?
Is it God's will for us to be sick?
Does God still heal today?
Why do some people get healed and others don't?
How much faith do we need in order to be healed?
What role does God play in our sickness?
What role does Satan play in our sickness?
How should I pray for someone who is sick?
And many more!
The answers they found strengthened them, built their faith, and gave them the courage to pray with boldness and power for the healing of their sons.
In God's Heart For Healing, pastor and respected Bible teacher Jerod Long provides a biblical, balanced look at sickness, suffering, and the ministry of healing. The answers provided in this book will encourage your faith and give you hope for healing.
Jerod Long is a pastor, teacher, and prophetic leader at The Father's House, in West Chester, OH. He and his wife Candice have served there since 2014. Jerod is also a founding member of Spirit Forward, an annual conference which introduces people to the ministry and power of the Holy Spirit. #healing #godsheartforhealing #redemption

Pursuing Redemption - Author Ryan George on Leaving a Cult but Not Leaving Jesus
play

05/29/24 • 48 min

Ryan George spent the first 20 years of his life in a cult, attending a series of Independent Fundamental Baptist (IFB) churches including one where his dad was the pastor, adhering to the dangerous teachings of men like Bill Gothard. Several years after leaving the IFB in his 20s, Ryan discovered his father had sexually molested one of his sister’s friends when she was a child. Then almost ten years later he listened to podcast episode detailing more abuse and coverup and based on his mother’s reaction, he realized his father was a serial sexual abuser with a harmful pattern of abuse going back decades.

For the past 25 years, Ryan was forced to examine deeply ingrained beliefs – including ideas around consent and abuse – and reevaluate what he truly believes. While he left the dangerous fundamental theology, Ryan didn’t walk away from Jesus, reconstructing his faith and attending (a non-abusive) church, where his wife is on staff.

In his new book, Hurt and Healed by the Church: Redemption & Reconstruction After Spiritual Abuse (April 12), Ryan exposes how abuse is built into the fabric of American churches, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. His story shows it is possible to rebuild your faith and find healing from church trauma and spiritual manipulation.

Family is so important to Jesus. Shelley and I speak about how God has good plans like the Gwartney's for every family.
When you get involved with what God's doing on the earth, there is nothing more fun and life-giving. Don't be scared because all things are being used and brought into the authority of Jesus. God is writing your story and new stories for the next generation, and you don't have to be worried about how it's written. We need to learn how to take a stand and take faith steps in all things.
Shelley Gwartney is a Christian Conservative Republican running for District 33 of the Oklahoma State Senate. This district mostly includes the Tulsa County side of Broken Arrow and the incumbent State Senator is term limited. Her top priorities are 1. Preserving Conservative values through the next generation, and 2. Protecting Oklahoma's sovereignty- to protect it as a state people will WANT to visit, invest in, and raise their families in. She seeks to be the bridge-builder, providing people with the education, resources, and tools needed to best serve their families and communities.
Shelley is an accomplished businesswoman, deeply involved in her church, and a family rooted in public service.
In her spare time, Shelley loves serving in local nonprofit organizations. Here are a few:

  • Member of the Republican Women’s Club, OK2A, and Women for Tulsa
  • Senate District Captain for Oklahomans for Health and Parental Rights (OKHPR)
  • Served as a board member on local and district level PTAs
  • Board member of Moms for Liberty- Tulsa County

Pursuing Redemption - Chuck DeGroat Discusses the Road to Healing What's Within
play

12/04/24 • 33 min

We can’t always control what happens to us. But we can discover how to heal the hidden hurt it leaves behind.

If you’re like many of us, you carry a weight of buried pain. Despite looking put together on the outside, you feel secretly fractured within. While you appear strong and resilient on the outside, inside a storm brews of all the ways you’ve been hurt or harmed. Not knowing what to do with your suffering and fearing you'll be hurt again, you’ve learned to cope, to numb and suppress the ache within.

It doesn’t have to be this way. In Healing What’s Within, therapist and professor Chuck DeGroat invites you on a compassionate journey inward to return and retune to the life God created you to live. Along the way, you will discover how to:

-Gently consider and confront what’s keeping you stuck and blocking the path to joy and flourishing

-Better understand the relationship between your body and your emotions

-Experience God as a compassionate witness to your trauma―and his unconditional kindness to wherever you find yourself

-Discover real rest and renewal as you reconnect with God, others, and yourself.

It’s never too late to start healing. God’s heart is always ready to help you find your way Home.
Chuck Degroat is a Jesus follower, husband to Sarah, dad to two amazing daughters, professor, therapist and author of several books including When Narcissism Comes to Church: Healing Your Community From Emotional and Spiritual Abuse. Follow Chuck on social media @chuckdegroat.

Mike Signorelli is the pastor of V1 Church in New York City. Today, we discuss Pastor Mike's journey with Christ, how he founded the church and where deliverance came to play in his story. In addition, they are releasing The Domino Revival movie on October 24th in theaters nationwide.
As society becomes more secular and falls further from traditional biblical values, many Christians are praying for a revival of the nations — a movement to reignite and revitalize the body of Christ that propels Christians to share the Gospel like never before. What many don’t know is the movement has already begun and is catching fire all across America. The Domino Revival follows the story of online media sensation, Pastor Mike Signorelli, and a group of revivalists during what is perhaps the most crucial time in our nation’s history. As the hunger for the supernatural and spiritual significance in our society continues to grow, and many turn to new age spirituality, The Domino Revival shows the true power of Jesus Christ on display through the preaching of the Gospel, medically verified miracles, overcoming the darkness of despair and deliverance from demons.

Where can people learn more information and buy tickets for The Domino Revival?

We believe that at The Domino Revival, people will experience complete and total freedom from whatever binds them. We expect to see widespread deliverance, salvation, and healing as we gather and confront the works of darkness. We are going to facilitate an environment of worship where people can get free, healed, and receive prayer. We don’t have an agenda other than to let the Holy Spirit have His way!
