Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen, the host of the new podcast, Diff'rent Strokes To Move The World: An Unofficial Diff'rent Strokes Podcast. Today, I covered S1E1: Movin' In, which aired on November 3, 1978. In this episode Philip Drummond is a wealthy Manhattan industrialist who takes in Arnold and Willis Jackson, the two sons of his late housekeeper; Drummond is white and the boys are black. Arnold, age 8, is excited about the opportunity of a privileged life, but Willis, age 13, feels that Mr. Drummond is trying to buy their love with expensive gifts. I really enjoyed this episode and felt that this was a good first episode for a show, giving us just enough insight on the characters, to slowly over time form an attachment and keep us tuned in to see how they grow and learn over the course of time. We definitely learn that Arnold is the kid who loves to eat and he seems more accepting to change while Willis is the one who takes longer to warm up to someone, always on his guard and will be constantly questioning and challenging his new father's authority. Kimberly Drummond, Phillip's daughter will bring a nice feminine perspective to the boy's life. I loved how she was so open and receptive to the boys upon their arrival. Phillip Drummond, has a lot to learn from Arnold and Willis and he has a lot to teach them, we will see a lot of culture and class clashing at least in the first three seasons or so. And of course, Mrs. Garrett, who provides comedic relief for the show and a mother figure for the children. As it stands right now, this podcast will be once a month until I finish with the Silver Spoons Podcast in late summer of this year and then the Diff'rent Strokes Podcast will be twice a month. Join me next month when I cover S1E2: The Social Worker, which aired on November 10, 1978. In this episode a social worker investigates the boys' home life and tells Mr. Drummond that she believes black children belong in black households. When Drummond tells this to Mrs. Garrett while she is vacuuming the living room, Arnold overhears this and comes to the conclusion that he doesn't want them around anymore. Hey Punky Peeps and welcome to another episode of Punky Power:An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. Today I will be Season 1 reviewing Episode 5 Part 2 Gone Fishing which aired on October 14, 1984, during this episode Henry decides one Saturday afternoon to take Punky and her friends fishing. I also share some of my fishing memories and ice fishing stories with you. Enjoy! I gave this episode 3 out of 5 Brandon Tail Wags, one for being a mini episode, one because it reminds me of summer and also because of the heartwarming scene where Punky tells Henry she loves him. So Sweet and for Punky telling off her friends when they were being whiny and ungrateful. Next Week's Episode Question of the Week for Season 1 Episode 6 Take Me Out To The Ball Game: Did you ever see a baseball game and do you have a memorable moment like did you catch a ball in the stands, your favorite concession stand food, or a souvenir you bought. Or if you didn't go to a game did you play baseball in school and do you have any memorable moments? I know this is more than one question but I want to be as broad as possible. I also started a new segment for the end of the podcast called Punky Peeps Around The World where i give a shout out to my listeners from all over. If you want me to give you a shout out on the podcast all you gotta do is listen! Email me your stories at [email protected] or my other social media sites listed on my podcast page. Hey Full House Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I'm continuing The Not So Great Of Season 8 (IMO) Series with S8E16: Air Jesse, which aired on February 7, 1995. In this episode, after being recruited by D.J. to play in a charity basketball game, Jesse gets tips from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Jesse CANNOT make a basket and knows nothing about basketball. What the heck! He played 2 on 2 with Danny, Joey, and Cousin Steve in Season 1. Did 7 years of knowing how to play just disappear? Kareem takes pity on Jesse, because apparently if you're a grown man you should automatically know how to play basketball. No way Nick Katsopolis wouldn't have taught his son how to play, he knows about baseball. He would know about this sport too. Jesse finds his magic sweet spot on the court that guarantees a basket every time the ball comes near it. He just wants his son's to be proud of him. Newsflash they already are, because you're their dad. Also in this episode as a side plot Stephanie makes a horrendous looking blouse in Home Ec and gives it to Becky after she assumes Becky loves it. This blouse is a hodge podge nightmare come to life, multiple buttons of various sizes here, there and everywhere. No article of clothing needs that many buttons. EVER! Becky trying to spare Steph's feelings with her honest opinion wears the blouse out of guilt to a charity basketball game (which Jesse and the boys are playing in) when a reporter/fan/stalker of Becky shows up to snap a photo for her scrap book or which ever paper she claims to work for, Becky's true feelings about the blouse come out when Becky realizes her picture wearing the blouse with be on every door step in San Francisco, I mean she's a co host of Wake Up San Francisco, she has an image to project and protect, viewers only see her in blazers and matching slacks or dresses, top of the line WUS approved apparel, heaven forbid she wear something that screams fashion police nightmare outside of work. Kimmy still 7 years later (See Season 1 Just One of The Guys Season 1 for example) cannot keep her hands off the players butts (she's their coach) apparently both DJ and Kimmy are hosting this basketball charity event to raise money for a cause of some kind. Crazy pants episode for sure. Join me next week when I cover the last episode in this Series, Full House S8E20: Up On The Roof, which aired on March 14, 1995. In this episode D.J., wanting to do an elaborate senior prank, lifts her principal's car onto the roof of the school using a crane; Becky offers to teach Michelle to cook. Have a great week everyone! I hope you enjoy the Podcast Episode!

Hey Full House Fans, Angela Bowen, here the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I covered the next episode in the Jesse & Joey Career Duo Series), Full House S2E13: Working Mothers, which aired on February 3, 1989. In this episode after Jesse and Joey are offered full time jobs at an ad agency, they struggle to decide if they can do the job and still be moms to the girls. I thought this was a good episode, Jesse and Joey win over a big client for their boss with an amazing advertising pitch complete with Joey wearing many hats and playing different characters with a jingle for Hurry Mart, so catchy. On the spot their boss gives them full time positions, it's all great until DJ and Stephanie wonder who will take care of them if all three of the guys are working. News Flash, they're working while you're in school, you'll see them in the evening. Good grief. The girls (DJ and Steph) act like they're becoming latchkey kids (which for some reason was the worst thing to be in the 80's and 90's by their attitude), I was a 90's latchkey kid from age 11 onward, it wasn't a big deal. The show Small Wonder did an episode about it. In the end the girls make the guys feel so guilty, they ask their boss if they can just work from home. He's cool with it. Michelle has developed a habit of locking people out of the house and a balcony in this episode. Self locking doors not a good thing. Join me next week when I cover the next episode Full House S4E3: The I.Q. Man, which aired on October 5, 1990. In this episode Jesse and Joey's latest client asks them to compromise their morals while shooting a commercial. Have a great weekend and I hope you enjoy the podcast episode!

Hey Full House Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I'm kicking off the Best Friends Series with Full House S2E15: Pal Joey, which aired on February 17,1989. In this episode Joey and Danny recall the day they first met. I loved this episode, it was so cute. Especially seeing how Danny and Joey met, the kids they got to play them are absolutely adorable. The young man who played Danny, Phillip Glasser, I got the chance to meet him last Summer. He was so cool. He also voiced Fievel from An American Tail as well as the sequel and the short lived television series in the early 90's. Danny gets jealous of all the time that Joey and Jesse are spending together since they've become partners in advertising and Danny feels he's being edged out of Joey's life as his best friend. Danny was being so immature and Joey calls him on it and Danny decides since Joey can't read his mind and understand the reason he's upset than Joey and he never should have been friends to begin with. Good grief, Danny! Total Throwback Episode! So much unnecessary drama! Speaking of unnecessary drama, the side plot with Stephanie, Harry and DJ. Weird Love Triangle (at least from Steph's POV). DJ teaches Harry how to subtract and all of a sudden he's in love with her. Poor Steph is heartbroken. It's another switching rooms for an episode scenario. How it goes unnoticed with three adults in the house, only the writers can answer that question. It's up to Jesse and DJ to bring Steph and Harry back together. Join me next week when I cover the next episode in the series, Full House S3E9: Dr. Dare Rides Again, which aired on November 24, 1989. In this episode Comet, the family's new dog, eats Michelle's ice cream. Pete is an old pal that Jesse once knew. He visits the family when Danny and Becky are away on a talk show styling trip. 'Feedback' and some of Jesse's old ways pop up. Have a great week everyone!

Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: An Unofficial Silver Spoons Podcast. Today, I'm bringing to you Silver Spoons S4E24: Second Best, the Season 4 Finale, which aired on May 11, 1986. In this episode Rick is tired of his girlfriend Holly doing everything better than him. I remember before I covered this episode and just reading the synopsis and thinking "wow, this is how they're gonna end Season 4" This sounds like a dud, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this episode and Holly, Rick's girl of the week, because honestly, let's face it, it seems he's got a new girl he's crushing on every episode, doesn't it? His problem is that she apparently does everything better than him and that doesn't sit well with him. Ok, guys out there, let me ask you a question: does that really bother you, if a girl is better at some things than you? and is that worth breaking off a relationship? Also, we FINALLY have a scene with the piano in the living room being played. I complained all Season long ever since the remodel of the house in Season 4 Episode 2 Mrs. Stratton Builds Her Dream House, that the piano was just for looks and why won't anyone ever play it, and finally someone did. I hope we get to hear it one more time in Season 5, since it's the final season of the show. Speaking of the final Season, as you probably know I've been very busy with a major life change coming up, I'm moving, and when I say moving, I mean I'm moving out of the state, so what that means for the Silver Spoons Podcast is I will be coming back in October and will complete Season 5 in the remaining 3 months of 2020. That means, 2 episodes a week. I'm excited for what's to come in the final Season, hopefully Rick loses that baby mullet he's been growing since the latter half of Season 3. I do believe we get a reappearance of a character we met in Season 4 as well as the final appearances of Evelyn (Rick's Mom) and Grandfather Stratton. Here's a peek at the first episode of Season 5 Episode 1: Who's The Boss?, which aired on September 15, 1986. In this episode Edward resents Kate's success as toy-company head. Happy Father's Day Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, in honor of Father's Day and Danny Tanner I'm covering Full House S1E6: Daddy's Home, which aired on October 23, 1987. In this episode Danny realizes that he misses special moments with his daughters and decides to take a family fun day - twice. Jesse's current girlfriend is in town. I really had a fun time with this episode and thought Danny did the best he could with the girls given the time he had with them with the Daddy/Daughter Day. Joey suffering from an identity crisis tries to emulate Jesse by changing his look, clothes and attitude but just ends up looking laughable, to sum it up in the words of Danny Tanner: "Joey, you make Michael Jackson look tough" Luckily Joey comes to the realization that it's ok to just be him since what works for some may not work for others. I mean you can't just become Jesse Katsopolis or( in Season 1 Cochran) overnight, it took Jesse 24 years to perfect that image. Jesse's girl of the week, Adriana, is a sweet girl, who I personally feel Jesse was taking advantage of even though she did consent to him. Apparently, we also learn that Jesse had went skydiving already, that's how he met Adriana, he landed in her car (it was a convertible). She also lives in Rome. Join me next week when I cover Full House S4E12 : Danny In Charge, which aired on December 14, 1990. In this episode when Joey and Jesse take a trip, Danny is alone in caring for the girls for the first time. Have a great week everyone! To EMAIL The Podcast Go To: [email protected]

Hey there, Punky Peeps, welcome to another episode of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. Today I will be reviewing the episode Season 1 Episode 5 Part 1 Walk Pool which aired on October 14,1984.This is another mini episode only 12 minutes long. In this episode we see Henry taking on the herculean task of walking Punky and her friends to school. After he ridicules Betty calling her a soft touch and saying how the children just need order and discipline to keep them in line. He'll need more than that to keep this bunch from running amok. Will Henry be able to transform this group of kids into well trained soldiers or will he be overpowered? In this episode we are introduced to three new characters Margaux Kramer, Allen Anderson, and Scotty Lotabucci. Only two of these cast members stick around for the show. One listener tells us about his bus riding days as a child here in America and internationally. I discuss my days of playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the playground, (I always wanted to be Michelangelo and I even made my own nunchucks), the big bus ride debate of which truck was better Chevy or Ford in the early 90's, brainstorming the next children's book for the Young Author Award at School, my discovery of delicious Honey Roasted Sunflower Kernals and my Walkman and Discman days on the bus( headwear problems and those portable CD Players only carry three days of battery juice max), having the coolest bus driver,(getting popsicles on the last day of school, not mentioned in podcast). I give this episode 3 out of 5 Brandon Tail Wags for the hilarious hijinks the kids get into and because it's a mini episode. The Episode Question of the Week for the next podcast episode Season 1 Episode 5 Part 2 Gone Fishin' is Did you like to go fishing as a child and if so do you remember the first fish you ever caught? Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: An Unofficial Silver Spoons Podcast. Today, I covered S5E6: Rick Moves Out, which aired on October 20, 1986. In this episode Rick moves into the guest house for some privacy, but that's easier said than done when friends and strangers consider it home away from home. This episode was good, I mean teenage me enjoyed seeing Rick in just a towel and this episode had a surprising amount of guest stars who would later go on to be in popular sitcoms, Rob Stone (Kevin Owens, Mr. Belvedere), Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano, Saved By The Bell)and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing, Friends). and S5E7: Man to Man, which aired on October 27, 1986. In this episode Edward doesn't feel like celebrating his birthday after Rick beats him at tennis for the first time. Kate struggles to learn Japanese for an overseas conference. Edward got on my nerves this episode, his being a sad sack because he turned 42 or 43 (I can't remember) he's acting like he's 70 , making old man jokes and he can't handle his son beating him at tennis. Poor Kate hiring a tutor to learn how to speak Japanese for a overseas conference turns out she's a horrible student and her instructor could care less as long as he gets paid. However the jokes on her later on, that makes this side plot less like a meaningless waste of time. Join me next week when I cover S5E8: Hey, Mrs. Robinson, which aired on November 3, 1986. In this episode Kate feels left out when her old college friend, now an editor for a rock magazine, seems to have more in common with Rick - which only gets worse when she and Edward start to worry that she's interested in more than Rick's friendship. and S5E9: Rick's Learning Problem, which aired on November 10, 1986. In this episode Rick tutors a star football player, who must pass a history test in order to play for the championship. Edward gets the flu, and is getting on Rick and Kate's nerves. Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast, Today, I'm covering the last episode in the Best Friends Series, Full House S4E5: Good News, Bad News, which aired on October 19, 1990. In this episode DJ becomes editor of the school newspaper and faces backlash when she appoints Kimmy to a position for which she is unqualified. This was a fun and cute episode. DJ having been made the editor of the school paper, Kimmy jumps at the opportunity to work along side her best friend, however the only (I find this so hard to believe)position left on the paper was Sports Editor. There were a few boys there including Jake Bitterman (this is his last appearance on the show), we know that Jake wanted that position instead he got, copying the lunch menu. Whoopee! (NOT). After Kimmy's failed attempt at covering the school basketball team game (all she writes about is Robby Hudson the equipment manager, she doesn't even mention who won the game). DJ demands she write it again, Kimmy reuses and they fight, ending their friendship. They aren't the only ones fighting, Becky and Danny can barely get through the taping of their commercial for the show (that Jesse and Joey are shooting and directing) without snipping and glaring at each other. Pointing out the other's faults. Michelle annoys Stephanie to no end with the Shadow Game, which basically consists of repeating anything the other person says until they scream and runaway. Luckily for the girls along with Danny and Becky they are able to see past their squabbling and realize how immature they're being and make up with each other. Have a great month and I'll see you in October with a new Series of episodes,
