033 | History of the print server and Windows print systems
01/11/23 • 36 min
In the first episode of the Print Geeks podcast for 2023, PaperCutters Kieron and Jamie are joined by fellow PaperCutter but also print legend, Alan Morris. The trio dives into possibly the printiest and geekiest episode we’ve yet attempted. Alan taps into his past tenure at Microsoft to walk us through the history of the print server and his work building the Windows print systems.

032 | What trends defined the print industry in 2022: annual end-of-year special
Print Geeks assemble! To celebrate the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, PaperCutter Kieron forms a panel of PaperCut Allstars for this bumper annual special! Kieron is joined by his co-host PaperCutter Jamie McClunie and they invite back regulars Matt Coad and Lucas Randall to look back at the trends that defined 2022: cloud, security, sustainability, hybrid working, and more. As this is our last episode for the year before we go on break, we’ve also compiled some clips of this year’s best moments on the podcast. Our resident doctor Doc Ballje also drops by for a quick end-of-year checkup. And to make this episode even more special, we’ve compiled some clips which you can find on our YouTube Shorts channel.

034 | Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at PaperCut
Sidestepping from the print side of things, and focusing on the human, brings us this week’s installment of the Print Geeks podcast. I’m joined by visiting Portland PaperCutters Operation Specialist Shari and Customer Care Specialist Ariel to talk about PaperCut’s global Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging group, or DEIB for short.
DEIB is a unique part of PaperCut culture. It’s been going 3 years strong and strives to ensure all PaperCutters and partners feel a sense of home and can embrace what makes them unique, inside and out. Shari and Ariel were in town, along with many other global DEIB members, planning DEIB’s next 12 months, and to celebrate Midsumma Pride March here in Melbourne Australia.
I had a chat with the two about what DEIB is, how it was founded, why it’s important in every workplace, and how the Midsumma Pride March went.
