The Triple P rides into the sunset....for 2021 anyway. Joined by the always able and willing Mrs. Blueliner, we wrap up the season with some bad (The Ol' Trotz debate) and some good (shouts to good friends of the show, old and new).

Christian Levesque leaves some points to ponder and we go over some possible moves to consider in the offseason as well as the ins and outs of the upcoming Expansion draft.

Thanks to you, all of our loyal listeners and Caps fans for making 2021 our biggest ever. See you next season. Keep the faith and LET'S GO CAPS!!!

Show #158---Winsome and Loss-enges

Another week, another 4 games another 2 wins and another 2 losses. But still First Place in the East. Confusing? It certainly is. But Anna the Mermaid and I are here to explain it all. We are your Declassified Caps' Fan's Survival Guide.

Going into the last two games it was a tale of two Johns---Carlson of course. The first having a very good game and the next coming out smelling, like well.....a John. The Mermaid and I to no one's surprise disagree on how bad however.

The run to the playoffs has begun.

Spring is in the air so naturally we keep our hearts tuned into a winter sport...but first we explain our adjustments towards a (hopefully) post-COVID world.

Anna and I recap a 4-0 week for Our Capitals. Yes it was four wins out of four games but there are some things to be improved upon. We go over all the details good and bad in our own way.

If you are a Caps fan of the female persuasion, please consider joining us for our all-female show coming up before the end of the month. Come on the podcast and tell your story as a Caps fan we would love to hear it!

Happy Easter! The Mermaid returns from the deep!

Anna comes back to comment initially on her time off and how she was affected (and still is) by some poor management from her streaming service. Seriously, anyone with any ideas of how she can watch games without paying a small fortune with it please let us know.

We recap the games (including today's) that were played in in the past week in our own hilarious way. This includes a nefarious attack on my person during one of the games. I'm still recovering, thanks for asking....

Then there's the McNugget Minute...........you do the math. Think we have anything good say? Listen and find out!

Anna is still out on Sprong, er Spring Break so Mrs. Blueliner joins me again for another episode. We begin by recapping another perfect week for Our Caps. Unfortunately perfection isn't all it's made out to be as includes a nailbiter of a finish to the week.

We move on to a quick recap of the Isobel Cup playoffs and a brief history lesson. Suffice it to say women have a solid place in hockey lore. And always will.

Ending on an even more sentimental note, the Mrs. takes the spotlight, telling her story about how she got into hockey and eventually into the Caps. Looks like a certain fella in her had something to do with it...She also give her thoughts on women in hockey and sports in general and what the future may hold.

Thanks again for indulging us....we appreciate your making us a part of your Caps experience!

Anna is off for 2 weeks for Spring Break so the Seamstress for the Band Mrs. Blueliner is providing the filling in for this cherry pie of a Podcast. Speaking of Spring, isn't it nice to have warmer weather? And isn't it nice to have hockey IN the warmer weather? Yeah we seem to think so....

We go over the tail end of the Caps' recent 7-game win streak as well as some surprise news that happened earlier in the day.

Halfway to the playoffs and Our Washington Capitals are looking good.

It was another semi-successful week for Our Washington Capitals. Literally. They won half their games in the week. The Mermaid and I go over each win and loss as only we can. Prepare for a caffeine-fueled rundown like no other.

In our Special Segment we go over the reasoning for the recent deals that saw us waving goodbye to Jake the Snake Vrana and Richard Panik. A full evaluation will have to come later as we are, for the most part, withholding judgment.

Don't forget to catch Anna for CapsTalk every Monday night at 9 pm ET on the Sports on the Hill Podcast live on Facebook and the TRU Radio network.

So how was this week like the movie Moulin Rouge? It started off well enough and ended BAD!

Anna the Mermaid and I go over the week's action on the ice. What went right and what went wrong.

And we might as well get to it---most of the show is dedicated to the idiocy that was the NHL's decision to suspend Tom Wilson (again). But it's not quite what you think....each of us presents a solid breakdown of what is wrong with this entire situation as only we can do. Listen and get mad but hopefully enjoy as well.

Don't give up Caps Fans, we aren't even halfway home yet. And there's a lot of games to be played...and won. Don't stop cheering for our Caps!

RIP Walter Gretzky and Mark Pavelich

We end the month of February on another winning note for our Caps. Anna and I recap another week's worth of action. Our notes include a stinging review of the recent play from a Caps center (hint---it is NOT Backstrom). We also go over the details of a potential Goal of the Year candidate in one of the games.

In the second part of the episode we honor Black History Month as we welcome one newcomer and a familiar voice to the podcast. Listeners Tyron Waller and Stewart Small speak of their experiences as Caps fans and lend their thoughts and ideas as to the state of the sport and what can be done to improve participation and inclusion from the African-American community.

Anna and I go over in our usual crazy way the two games the Caps battled on Long Island and won. Could it be they have finally settled on a No. 1 goaltender?

We also take time to pass along our most positive vibes for one of the greatest fans in DC Sports---Ted Peters AKA Nats Captain Obvious. He's going through a very rough patch health wise and sure could use all of our well wishes.

Finally, in a special "easter egg" segment (because I forgot to mention it initially) we go back in time to talk about another trade that had a big impact on the Caps and their playoff fortunes. Hint----think late 80's.....very late 80s.
