Pop Culture Brews - The Fifth Element/ Ruby Rhod Grapefruit Blonde

03/17/20 • 69 min

A movie so grand in scope, so philosophical, so over the top and garish that only a French auter could have made it!

The guys review this classic of mid-90s cinema that features Bruce Willis' John McClane in the Space, a butt kicking Milla Jovovich before Resident Evil, and a lot of seemingly S&M inspired outfits. Is it art? Is it Pop Culture? What's going on? Who knows, just strap in and enjoy the ride

We are tilting at windmills! For 5 years we toiled to learn how to create beer recipes, and then launched a podcast!

For 28 years Terry Gilliam tried to make a movie based on a book from the 1600s, failed, was subject to a notorious (and great) documentary. Struggled to make other movies, and then eventually was able to make his movie The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.

Join us as we travel 400 years from page to screen!

This Recipe was actually originally featured on: https://beerandbrewing.com/social-kitchen-and-brewery-brut-ipa-recipe/

It is the homebrew 5 gallon recipe of the original Brut IPA by The Social Kitchen

MALT/GRAIN BILL

Neutral Ale yeast

.65 ml Amyloglucosidase (Wyeast Ultraferm)

Ultraferm is an enzyme that converts non fermentable sugars into fermentable, this is what makes a Brut IPA so dry.
