Podette: Podcasting for Business Made Easy

The end of 2021 is fast approaching and if you haven’t already started thinking about your content plan for 2022 then consider this your friendly reminder to get your butt in gear. I know not everyone’s as into planning as me, but by the end of this episode you should have some solid ideas of how you can use my process to help with your content so it’s quicker and more conversion optimised to produce. I’m all in on the planning; there’s colour coding, a project management system, multiple tools, and post-it notes included in my process, not to mention the key components I learned from working in the professional television industry and you can learn all of it right here.

I’m talking:

- How to manage all your ideas

- The tools I use to manage, plan and schedule my content planning

- The importance of scheduling

- The questions to ask yourself to make sure your content will help your business and your audience

- How using a template can help speed up your content planning process even if you’re not a scripter

Don’t want to create your own content planning template? Grab the one I personally use for all my episodes over at https://podcastology.co/shop

If you enjoyed this episode, I’d really appreciate it if you’d share it with a biz bestie. I want to make sure we help as many women as possible get heard and get paid.

How to do a podcast audit for less overwhelm & more results

The biggest myth in podcasting for online business is this idea that just having a podcast will help your business grow. Or, to put it another way, if you record it, they will listen. And as much as I’d dearly love for this to be true, that is unfortunately a big fat lie. And when you’re struggling to get your episodes created or seeing falling listener numbers, it can be really hard to keep pushing forwards. If this is you right now, I want you to know this one’s for you and share how to do a podcast audit so you can turn your frown upside down.

I’m talking:

-The goal of a podcast audit

- The different types of podcast audit you can do

- A quick podcast production audit you can perform

- A quick podcast marketing audit you can perform

- 5 questions to ask in every podcast audit you do

WTF is a podcast one sheet (and why you need one)

If you’re looking to grow your reach beyond your own sphere of influence, I’m a big fan of the podcast interview as a way to do it. Having someone’s voice in your earbuds can make you feel like you’re really getting to know a person, and if that voice is providing value as well? Well, win win, congrats you’ve just made it into someone’s regular playlist. But if only it was that easy to score yourself an interview on another podcaster’s show. It’s not always straightforward and smooth sailing, especially if you’re cold pitching someone you don’t know. But landing these interviews can be greatly helped by creating a one sheet and by the end of this episode, you’re going to know all the pieces to include in your own.

I'm talking:

- How a One Sheet can help you land podcast interviews on other shows

- The six must-have sections to your One Sheet

- How to make it easy for podcast hosts to agree to interview you

- Tips for making your One Sheet as pro as possible
