Today’s plant-based journey comes from John Brown, a high school history teacher. He also helps kids to improve in taking standardized tests. John has participated in National Novel Writing Month (where you write 50k words towards a novel in 30 days) three times since 2009. He also appeared on both Jeopardy (2008) and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (2011). So we guess he's not bad at trivia! He uses his experience as a self-proclaimed trivia nerd to coach his school's academic quiz team, and he is an aspiring wellness coach. Today’s plant-based journey comes from Marjorie Leon who holds a Master’s degree in psychology, is a doctoral candidate in psychology, and is studying obesity and cognition in women. She has been plant-based for almost 11 years and teaches her community to approach the WFPB lifestyle both in mindset as well as hands-on cooking. Marjorie Leon studied with some terrific mentors, covering nutrition, physiology, habits, and mindset. She feels it is her duty to pass on the information that has helped me so much.
