Embodying the Strongest You

There's one thing I know to be certain.
Wherever you're at it in life, you want more.
And what you think you're capable of, whether with your body or in life, is just a small fraction of your true potential.
When things get tough, we all have a choice. We can either collapse and make ourselves small, or we can rise and expand.
Today's a special edition of the podcast I don't think you'll want to miss.
This is one you'll want to share as well. Because I believe motivation and hope is a contagion we want to spread right now.
Listen up: it's time to rise.

Within Crisis There is the Greatest Opportunity
We're being cracked open right now. We're being reminded that we don't have as much control as we like to think.
And perhaps most importantly, we're being reminded that one day, we will die.
Of course, that reality is always there, but it's hard to not look at right now.
Within this crisis and reminder of our death (whether in old age or much sooner) we are being tuned to what really matters. We're waking up to who we really want to be and know we are deep down inside. Many of us are choosing to make this our time to become stronger and stop holding back who we really are.
In this episode, I share with you some encouragement and invitations on how you can make this your time to become the strongest version of yourself.

Rewiring Your Nervous System for Pain-Free, Confident Movement with Todd Hargrove
In this episode, I sat down with one of my movement teachers and mentors, Todd Hargrove. Todd is a genius when it comes to understanding how the body works, the science of pain, and how to move with more freedom.
He's the author of one of my absolute favorite books as well, A Guide to Better Movement, which I highly recommend.
What you're about to learn:
- Why having a neurocentric perspective is critical to understanding why pain and tension hang around.
- How pain sensitivity is learned from an early age and what you can do to change it.
- How the core beliefs you hold about the world can be subconsciously influencing your experience in your body, for good or bad.
- The power of body maps and reversing something called "sensorimotor amnesia" that might be holding you back.
- Why play and exploration are so critical to relieving stress, building healthy habits, and creating new movement patterns.
- How to tap into your deepest source of motivation, so you're actually able to stay consistent with the practices you commit to.
