Peak Performance Life Podcast

The human brain is complex. Along with performing millions of mundane acts, it's the wellspring of all human feelings, behaviors, and experiences and the repository of memory and self-awareness. So it's no surprise that the brain remains a mystery unto itself.

In this episode, we speak with a Coach, Behavioral Neuroscience Researcher, the CEO of MyNeuroGym.com, and “The Brain Whisperer,” John Assaraf, about the brain’s hidden power and how unlocking it can help you transform not only your health but also your life.

John Assaraf, "The Brain Whisperer" is one of the world's leading high-performance, successful coaches. He is a behavioral neuroscience researcher who has appeared numerous times on Larry King Live, Anderson Cooper, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

As CEO and co-founder, he grew Re/Max of Indiana from a startup to 85 offices and 1200 sales associates who sold over $4 Billion a year.

John was also one of the founders of Bamboo/IPIX, which went public on NASDAQ with a market cap of $2.5 Billion.

John has written 4 books, including 2 New York Times bestsellers that have been translated into 35 languages. He is the creator of the “Innercise” movement and has been featured in 11 movies, including the blockbuster hit “The Secret” and “Quest For Success” with Richard Branson and the Dalai Lama.

He lives in San Diego with his wife and 2 sons. In addition to being a vegan, meditator, avid skier, and ocean lover, he loves traveling the world and making some of the tastiest hot sauces using some of the hottest peppers on the planet.

Today, he is CEO of MyNeuroGym.com, a neuroscience-based company dedicated to helping individuals strengthen their mindset, so they achieve their goals and dreams... faster and easier than ever before.

Allowing exaggeratedly negative self-talk to dictate your behavior will prevent you from reaching your potential. Just because you think you're not mentally strong enough to do or handle something doesn’t mean it’s true. You’re likely able to tolerate much more than you think.

We are joined today by Speaker, Presenter, Performance Coach, TEDx Speaker, and Endurance Athlete, Luke Tyburski to talk about what he went through and how it made him mentally and physically strong after losing football. He also shares how he uses that same experience to help his clients overcome their own struggles with his coaching.

A former professional footballer, Luke Tyburski now takes on some of the world’s most extreme ultra-endurance challenges. Luke created and completed a world first 2000km in 12 days Ultimate Triathlon from Morocco to Monaco, with an award-winning documentary made about this inspirational feat.

Constantly looking to challenge himself, Luke has run through the Sahara desert, down Mt Everest, and across a tropical forest in China without food, money, water, and with a plane to catch. He has undertaken mountainous double Ironman triathlons, taking him 35 non-stop hours to finish, and completed multiple 150-mile ultra-marathons and 250-mile non-stop bike rides, to name just a few of his accomplishments.

Luke Tyburski’s entire life has been about performance, overcoming obstacles while dealing with setbacks to achieve his daily best. With over 15 years of experience in the health, fitness, & sports performance industries, Luke has not only been an athlete himself but coached many to achieve their physical performance goals as well.

Luke has translated his unique experiences as an extreme-endurance athlete, former professional footballer, and overcoming his dark personal battle with depression, binge eating, and suicidal tendencies into informative, engaging, and highly entertaining presentations. A published author of Chasing Extreme, Luke has shared his inspirational story to audiences around the globe alongside the mental framework he has created to be one of the world’s leading endurance athletes.

Luke Tyburski wants to inspire others to live outside their comfort zone, so they can catch a glimpse of their true potential.

Star of award-winning adventure documentaries – The Ultimate Triathlon & The 500 Man.

Mentioned in Forever Sports Magazine’s “50 greatest athletes in the world right now” in 2016.
