For kids, play is happening all day every day, but as adults who have all too often lost sight of our inner child play is then pigeonholed into one definition and therefore no longer appeals to us. We tend to think that play is really just the work of children while us big, "important" adults have better, more productive things to do. But the reality is that rediscovering your love of play as well as learning about the many complex layers of play will help you to better understand how and why your child loves to play and why it matters so much to both children and adults.
