In this episode, I am sharing a thought I heard about what are you magnifying and focusing on. Your past mistakes are meant to guide you not define you. “One's past does not define them... it is what they have chosen to do from that point forward.” ~unknown

In today’s episode, we discuss:

1) Where your focus goes your energy flows. You can learn from your past mistakes, but amplifying them with a magnifying glass, overanalyzing them, hyperfocusing on them is not going to change your story. At some point, you have to recognize that it is part of your story, part of your journey. 2) The power of zooming out, standing in the gain recognizing how far you have come, and honoring what that experience taught you. 3) What if you amplified your assets, your gratitudes, your lessons, your experiences, your unique qualities, your superpowers, etc., what/how would that change your future? In this episode, let’s talk about stacking the deck in your favour. As we are finishing off another year, it is straightforward to jump ahead, plan out the next year, and set big goals. How can you finish the year, stacking your wins, lessons, and experiences and set yourself up for success in the upcoming year? It starts with changing our beliefs, building beliefs, and stacking them in our favour.

In today’s episode, we discuss: 1) A belief is just a thought you keep having, so focus on your thoughts, build your beliefs, and how can you get up more times than what you fall? That will build your beliefs, which over time and with repetition it will change your identity and that will change your results.

2) You are a living testament to the people who went before you and the people who will come after you. Your action inspires action in others, your power inspires power and your strength inspires strength in others. You can create a massive change in your year next year and it starts by consciously stacking the deck in your favour.

In this episode, I am sharing the concept of creating results using your conscious vs your subconscious mind, and the difference between the two. Conscious change is hard, takes consistent effort and feels like you're starting over and over again. Conscious change is using ~ 5% of your brain's capacity and ability to create change. Subconscious change is using the 95% powerhouse part of your brain), creates effortless, lasting change. In today’s episode we discuss:

1) Conscious change includes writing more to do to lists, journaling your goals, making another vision board, creating another plan to start again, hiring another coach, buying another program thinking this is going to be the one that fixes it. Strategy is only a tiny piece of the puzzle. 2) Subconscious change includes getting to the root of the issue, uncovering the subconscious blocks, limiting beliefs as to why you might not fully believe that it is possible for you, and using tools and techniques to anchor in the changes you desire to create. All of this sets you up for success to create lasting change with ease and effortlessness. 3) I am sharing that this past week I worked with 3 clients on tools and techniques to change behaviours that they have been "fighting, shaming themselves for, and starting and re-starting over and over again." 01/18/24 • 50 min

Today we are speaking with Love Language Linguist Paul Zolman. Paul is the author of Love is God. In His wisdom, He placed us in a variety of circumstances that require us to find our way back to His pure love. So, what qualifies Paul Zolman to speak about love? His childhood experience of the opposite of love. From that austere beginning, and the distaste it formed inside him, he searched for and eventually created a method that transformed his life from anger to loving everyone. Growing up in a family of abuse, physical touch became his preferred love style, only because of the regularity. He could almost count on it. It was consistent. He came to think that was the way to express love. But deep inside, he knew that was a twisted belief. He wanted a better life for himself, which is why he created a paradigm shift that works. In this book, you’ll find what helped Paul Zolman move from a childhood boot camp of abuse to being a person who loves everyone and can find good about anyone in any circumstance. This is truly the role of love.

In this episode, we dive into:

1) Paul shared his story of his childhood, experiencing the opposite of love, and how he learned to love, forgive, and continue to write to his parents on a weekly basis for 32 years, this helped him to shift past the anger he was holding onto.

2) There are so many nuggets in this episode about how to heal, choose to respond differently to your circumstances, the role of love and how it comes from internal and not external work, and his creation of The Role of Love, how it is being used in some schools and how it is encouraging people to focus on gratitude, love and searching for the goodness in others.

#68: “You Are Powerful with Saira Amjad"

Today we chat with Saira Amjad -- Author, Relationship and Alignment Coach

Saira Amjad is a Pakistani-Canadian poet, best-selling author, certified coach, entrepreneur, speaker, single mom, and self-love advocate. Her debut book, And So She Rises, quickly became an international bestseller on Amazon. It is a deeply intimate collection of poems about her struggle through a failed arranged marriage, a suicide attempt, sexual abuse, and pressures to be “the perfect Muslim woman,” and her journey to learn how to love herself. Saira has emerged as a strong and compassionate woman who is an inspiration for men and women around the globe. As a coach, she helps women break free of the chains, embrace the goddess within, and build a fabulous empire. She strongly believes that no one should ever have to live in fear, hate, lack, abuse, or depression.

In this episode we talk about:

1. Our stories can reveal our calling and our gifts can help ourselves and others to heal.

2. We don’t need to learn more to get started. When we combine experience + knowledge this can be so much more powerful than knowledge alone.

3. Commit to yourself and your inner voice no matter how unsure or ridiculous it may feel at times. Our inner voice is working to steer and guide us to the right path.

4. If our alignment is off, we are susceptible to everyone else’s opinions, judgements and criticisms more than we would be if we stayed in alignment. Our alignment will ground us to be stronger against everyone else’s misalignment.

5. We are never done working through our own sh*t! This is a never ending process!

6. There is so much power in tuning into our energy and listening to how our body is guiding us.

7. We are so much more powerful than we realize!

Own Your Choices Own Your Life - 654 | What's The Story You're Telling Yourself?
play

01/19/24 • 18 min

In this episode, we are discussing the story you are telling yourself and how to shift that narrative into actionable steps. This was an IG Live that was juicy enough to share here. In this episode, we discuss:

1) The story that you feed is the one you keep alive. We put so much stock in these old stories, this then becomes our identity and then we show up with less conviction in what we’re here to do. The stories we tell ourselves when we are full of doubt, are stories that boil down to not being enough or not feeling worthy enough. 2) Changing the story won’t happen without being aware first, and then having a toolbox to pull on those tools so that we don’t shame our judge ourselves for feeling those feelings. Ask yourself, “when did you decide that?”. Then look for contrary evidence showing us proof that it is not true, and compile that evidence to show yourself the proof. Then re-write it in a new empowering way, and anchor it into your subconscious mind with repetition by using the tools of hypnosis, subliminal, EFT tapping, and FLIP The Script Technique to get your subconscious mind on board with the direction and path you know you are meant to be on. Own Your Choices Own Your Life - 685 | Belief Will Take You Further Than Talent
play

04/01/24 • 18 min

In this episode, we talk about how belief will take you further than talent. Even more, than this, it requires that you have belief to get started. It is our job to raise our beliefs to match our vision, not just the belief but also the identity of the person who can bring that vision to life. I heard this Henry Ford example, he could have said I can’t build cars because if they break down, we have no mechanic shops to fix them, no idea where we will make the tires or the parts to fix them, he could have said: “there’s no point in starting.” There has to come a moment where you will believe in yourself, and your ability to be resourceful enough to figure it out when you get there. And Mike Tyson’s quote, “Everyone has a plan: until they get punched in the face”, your plan will only take you so far.

In this episode, we discuss:

1) Your job is to raise your beliefs in yourself to match or surpass your vision, and no one can tell you how to do that except practice, trying something, feedback, etc. But what happens when you surround yourself with people who lower your beliefs in yourself? Don’t let the underperformers pull you down. 2) We all know lots of athletes with tons of talent and no belief or work ethic. Talent isn’t enough, so don’t use your belief in yourself for having talent as the reason to start or not to start moving toward your vision.
