The Oilers force Game 5 featuring Frank Seravalli

The Edmonton Oilers got the job done last night with an 8-1 victory over the Florida Panthers. It was the franchises first Stanley Cup Final win since 2006 and also helped avoid the first final sweep since 1998. Now, the Oilers travel down to Florida for another do-or-die game.
Mattias Janmark lead the charge early with a shorthanded goal and then a primary assist on Adam Henrique's goal, which made it 2-0. The Oilers continued to poor on the offence with goals from Dylan Holloway, Connor McDavid and Darnell Nurse, which gave Paul Maurice no choice but to pull Sergei Bobrovsky. Zach Hyman, Ryan McLeod and another from Holloway closed out the scoring for what was a magnificent night at Rogers Place.

Returning home for two huge games versus the Panthers

The Edmonton Oilers trip down to Sunrise, Florida, couldn't have gone worse. In Game 1 they played well but couldn't beat Sergei Bobrovsky, who stopped all 32 shots he faced. Then in Game 2, there was a glimmer of hope when Mattias Ekholm scored to give the Oilers the lead. However, the belief fell apart after the Panthers scored four unanswered goals to seal the win.
Now, the Oilers head back home down 2-0 in the Stanley Cup Final. The last team to be down 2-0 in a Stanley Cup Final and win was the 2011 Boston Bruins. Can the Oilers now find their inner Bruin?
After a long travel day yesterday, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin are back for a new edition of Oilersnation Everyday. Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final didn’t go in favour of the Edmonton Oilers. Sergei Bobrovksy saved the day for the Florida Panthers stopping all 32 shots he faced.
Heading into tonight’s game in Sunrise, Florida, head coach Kris Knoblauch has made a couple of lineup changes. The major one is that Cody Ceci will sit, for the first time this postseason, and will be replaced by Vincent Desharnais. Evander Kane didn’t skate this morning but confirmed that he’ll play tonight. With that, either Warren Foegele and Sam Carrick will come out of the lineup.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will go live for Oilersnation Everyday at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. They’ll get you all set for Game 2 tonight discussing the lineup changes, keys to victory and game notes. Since today is a game day, Jay Downton joins the guys for a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition of Oilersnation Everyday.

The Edmonton Oilers have taken a 3-1 series lead over the Vegas Golden Knights after a dominant 3-0 win in Game 4 at Rogers Place. Stuart Skinner delivered one of his best performances of the postseason, stopping all 23 shots he faced to record his second career playoff shutout.
The Oilers leaned on their depth once again, with Adam Henrique scoring twice in the first period and Evander Kane adding the third. While Edmonton controlled the scoreboard, emotions boiled over throughout the game—especially from Golden Knights goaltender Adin Hill, who took multiple shots at both Zach Hyman and Evander Kane as frustration mounted.
