He has written extensively on the subject with 14 books listed on Goodreads – including ‘UFO Scotland’, ‘Edinburgh After Dark’, ‘Famous Scots and the Supernatural’ and a thought provoking book called ‘Alien spirits?’ which we talk about at length. For several years, Ron also wrote the ‘X-Files’ column for the Glasgow Evening Times.

Do aliens exist and if so, could the spirits of their dead communicate with us on Earth?
For over two years, Ron attended nearly fifty seances with the Edinburgh medium Ray Tod, where the explosive nature of this question forced itself upon Ron's consciousness. Ron describes that what he experienced blew away any doubts over the existence of extraterrestrials, as alien entities of all kinds appeared in physical form before his eyes through the transfiguration mediumship of Ray. The mystery deepened further with the arrival of Greek gods and symbols from Ancient Egypt.
Ron began to wonder whether these messengers could in fact be from a parallel universe which existed on a different level but were somehow able to interact with our own. Not spirits of the dead but projections of living beings.
