Here’s the tips:
- Use Social Media to build a community around your business. Brand advocacy helps increase exposure & sales
- Don’t lose focus on your blog. Stick to your subject matter & only go off topic 1% of the time
- Use @SocialBro to find the best engagement time for your Tweets. Post when people are active
- Tag your own blog posts in @feedly to keep a list of content to promote in the future
- Citations help your local SEO. Get your name, address & phone number mentioned. Don’t worry about links
- Twitter Polls are coming soon but are limited to 2 answers and 24 hours. Use them to help engagement
- Google possibly updated it main algorithm on 14/15th Oct. Check analytics & search console for changes
- Reply to negative reviews & comments straight away. A complaint is a marketing opportunity
- Yahoo! has a mobile algorithm like Google. This aim is to show mobile friendly sites on mobile
- Facebook adds public posts to search. Use key phrases that are searched for in your post

Here’s the tips:
- If you’ve just had a website redesign make sure the test domain is taken down quickly & use NOINDEX
- If you want everyone to hear your message on Twitter put a word, full stop or character in front of the @
- More than half of Google searches happen on mobile. Grab your phone right now & test your site!
- Share your workspace/office on Social Media. People are nosy & like to mooch at your desk
- Don’t use bullet lists AS your content. Write good content & use bullets to highlight points.
- When new staff join, announce them on Social Media. Connect with your followers & show then you’re active.
- Website white space is important. It makes content easier to read & keeps people on your site longer.
- Cross promote your social networks. Create a schedule on Hootsuite or Buffer automate it.
- Mention another blog post in every blog post! Help people discover more of your content.
- Use stats in your social media posts to reinforce a point. But make it a useful stat that your followers can identify with.

- Check Facebook Insights to find posts that have worked in the past. Check top engagement & reach then repeat
- Don’t forget to cross link your pages where it makes sense. This really helps to reduce bounce rate
- Make sure you offer customer service on Social Media. Monitor your brand & respond to issues quickly
