#16 - Laughter Through Tears
03/23/21 • 35 min
Pasha’s first episode is raw and vulnerable. She explains why laughter through tears is her favorite emotion and her painful catalyst moment is revealed. She bravely shares details of her son’s chronic illness and how behind the scenes of the pleasure podcast is often quite messy and dark. She talks about how to sprinkle pleasure on even the hardest of days and describes her own personal pleasure practices (no, it is NOT yoga, baths, and masturbation). She shares the secret of why she was sad AND glad the pandemic happened when it did.
Pasha tells the secrets of how play and humor can make you a better leader, parent, and lover and help rejuvenate your mind and body (thus one of the best ways to make money, lose weight, and have better sex!). She explains how to learn to play with yourself and enjoy your own company...and have fun already!
From her times as a professional performer, competitive triathlete, marriage and family therapist, holistic trainer, and now midlife laughter and pleasure coach, Pasha has decades of experience healing people using creative and embodied methods. Pasha is moved to tears and laughter in this episode where she invites you into her heart and speaks directly to those of you who are hurting right now who need a unique way to access pleasure and laughter.

#15 - Rachelle Ugalde - “Stand Tall, Tits Out!”
“STAND TALL, TITS OUT”
Rachelle Ugalde, host of “Real Talk” podcast, Life and Success Coach, and mother of 3 joins me for a whole-hearted conversation about vulnerability, visibility, and body shame.
Rachelle bravely tells the story of her struggle with anxiety and depression, including fears of losing her mind. At her moment of deepest despair, she reached out to her husband and asked for help.
She reminds us that no matter how gorgeous we are or how “perfect” our life appears, we can still be struggling and we must ask for help and find ways to share our stories of truth.
“The older I get, the less shits I give. It is such an inner job”” is one of my favorite quotes from this episode. And yet, body shame still haunts her.
Rachelle is a goddess and yet, at 5’9 and full of curves, she still plays small and tries to shrink to “fit in” or feel “more feminine”. She accepted a challenge to embrace her size and stand tall with tits out at an upcoming retreat and every day after. I have no doubt she will conquer those limiting beliefs and come to a place of deeper self-love and liberation!
“I am scared” Rachelle says, “and because I am scared, I know I need to do something.”

#17 - Kirsten Milliken - “ADHD SUPERPOWERS!”
What didn’t we talk about? We both have ADHD superpowers, after all.
Enjoy this conversation about moving, creating space, meeting new friends, sticky notes, and anything NEW! We talk about letting go of shame about medications, learning abilities, and the way our brain works. Let’s learn to celebrate our uniqueness! Of course, there are different ways that ADHD presents, so it is important to note how it affects our relationships and social/sexual lives.
My favorite part of the conversation is when we talk about using play to treat trauma and perfectionism and how to lead with laughter. Kirsten speaks about finding pleasure in our quirks and what makes us diverse and creative geniuses.
She gives a shout out to the brilliant works of Brian Sutton-Smith, Ari Tuckman and Gary Ware.
Kirsten is a psychologist who lives in Maine and Tennessee. She has 20 years of experience in the mental health and coaching fields and is the author of the book “PlayDHD”. She is a certified ADHD coach and has ADHD herself. She has developed the World of ADHD, a campaign celebrating ADHD creatives. Kirsten believes that play is the best non-medication intervention for people with ADHD and I whole-heartedly agree!
