S1 E19 MotherFood extra: Her Cycles

MotherFood
Motherhood is a celebration of the body - of its power, strength, beauty and wisdom. And in this bonus series we explore the body and our connection to it through different themes. We’ve discussed sexuality in episode 18, and today we delve into another fascinating topic related to the body’s cyclical nature. The phases of our monthly cycles are almost mystically mirrored by the phases of the moon, and also symboclially connected to the four seasons. So in this session I talk to Merilyn Keskula founder of the Mylky Moon Lab, an elegant initiative celebrating the cyclical nature of womanhood, working with women’s body cycles as well as the moon cycles and the seasonal cycles, as a means of empowerment and support. Everything in life moves through cycles of contraction and expansion, planets move in circular orbits, nature moves through the cycles of seasons, and so do our bodies, and female bodies in particular. There is so much advocacy and awareness of seasonal living and eating, so I feel very passionate about bringing this focus into the beautiful realm of a woman’s body, and exploring and supporting its complexity and magnificence through life style, mind set and, of course, nourishment. I very much hope this episode inspires new conversations and can’t wait to hear from you ✨🌒💫 Find is on Instagram @alissatimoshkina and @mylkymoonlab Merilyn’s debut book Moon Power is out now!
