Missing Persons
Episode 46 Rebekah Barsotti In July 2021, 33 year-old Virginia transplant, Rebekah Barsotti disappeared in the area of Clark Fork River near Alberton, Montana. Rebekah was in the process of going through a divorce and had separated from her husband following a turbulent relationship in which there were indications of domestic violence, including a no-contact order, but Rebekah was starting to plan out the next phase of her life and had recently moved into her own place. On July 20th, Rebekah arranged to meet her estranged husband's caregiver near a gas station in Superior, Montana to retrieve some of her belongings. According to the caregiver, the exchange went down without a hitch. From there, it appears that Rebekah traveled to the Clark Fork River to stretch her legs and train her beloved dog Cerberus. Rebekah however was never seen again. A family hiking along the river found several items belongin to Rebekah stacked nealy along the riverbank and contacted police who found Rebekah's car at a nearby rest stop, but there was no sign of Rebekah or Cerberus. Several days later, Cerberus's remains were found 10 miles down stream from where Rebekah's belongings were found. Police seemed to immediately latch on to the theory that Rebekah simply fell into the river, perhaps trying to save Cerberus, and drowned. Rebekah's family immediately uprooted their lives to move to Montana to search for Rebekah, and were met with several challenges, as well as what they feel have been close-minded investigators. They have many questions, the most important one being; If Rebekah drowned, where is her body? Rebekah's parents Angela, and Gerry Mastrovito discuss their frustrations in this episode as what has and has not been done in an effort to find their daughter. David Claude Yeager

Episode 45 David Claude Yeager Seventeen year-old David Claude Yeager left his Shreveport, Louisiana home on February 7, 1971 to head to a nearby school event he wanted to attend. It's not clear whether that event was a dance, or a debate club meeting, as both have been reported, but what is clear, is that David never made it to his intended destination, and has never been seen again. Money in his bank account remained untouched. When David failed to return home, his family went to police who were of the opinion that he left on his own free will- something his family said he would never do. Their initial fear was that perhaps David had been struck by a car and was hurt, or dead on the side of the road, but when searches came up empty, they began to consider if David was the victim of foul play, perhaps even at the hands of a serial killer. David's cousin Kelly Chance discusses this frustrating and mysterious cold case If you have information about David's case, please call the Shreveport Police Department 318-673-7028 To learn more about David's case, or to contact his cousin Kelly Chance, visit his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/FindDavidYeager If you'd like to support this podcast via a donation, you can do so through Patreon here- https://www.patreon.com/MissingPodcast To contact the podcast or learn more about the cases we discuss visit: Missingpersonspodcast.net Follow us on Social media- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Missing-Persons-Podcast-103501877912153 or Twitter: https://twitter.com/Missing_Po

Robert Deshawn Childers

Episode 47 Robert Deshawn Childers 51 year-old Robert Deshawn Childers, known as Shawn to his family and friends, vanished under mysterious circumstances in Florence, Alabama on September 17, 2016. According to his friend/roommate David Nix, Shawn walked away from his residence that day between 9am and 12PM, and never returned. Almost immmediately, Shawn's family became suspicious of Nix's story because Shawn suffered from physical limitations that made it very difficult to walk without extreme pain. They felt that Shawn would have driven his truck if he needed to go someplace, which was found locked up at home. When Shawn's family dug more into Shawn's life during the time just before he went missing, they found that he had been the victim of frequent abuse at the hands of Nix, who cleaned the home he shared with Shawn using bleach right after the disappearance, and soon got rid of the vehicle he owned. It seems that Nix may have been iding something, but has since died. If he knew anything, or had anything to do with Shawn's disappearance, he took his secrets to the grave. As suspicious as Nix seems, Shawn also battled substance abuse and depression, so there is no shortage of directions to look in for Shawn's family who desperately want to know what happened to him. In this episode, Shawn's Brother David, Sister in Law Carol, and ex-wife Lisa are guests in this episode, and discuss Shawn's puzzling disappearance. If you have information about the disappearance of Robert Deshwan Childers, please call the Lauderdale County Sheriff's dept at 256-760-5761 If you'd like to support this podcast via a donation, you can do so through Patreon here- https://www.patreon.com/MissingPodcast To contact the podcast or learn more about the cases we discuss visit: Missingpersonspodcast.net Follow us on Social media- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Missing-Persons-Podcast-103501877912153 or Twitter: https://twitter.com/Missing_Po
