Missing Persons - Missing Persons Alert: Gabby Petito

Missing Persons Alert: Gabby Petito This is an urgent Missing Persons alert mini episode about the case of 22 year old Gabby Petito who vanished while traveling cross-county. The case spans multiple police jurisdictions from all over the country including Florida, New York, Wyoming, and Utah. Gabby, along with her boyfriend, traveled across the country in their distinct travel van. Her boyfriend and their van showed up in North Port, Florida on the weekend of 9/11/21, but Gabby was nowhere to be found. After we published this episode, Gabby's family supplied us with this statement: "The Schmidt and Petito family are going through the worst moments of their lives. Their beautiful twenty-two year old daughter is missing and the one person that can help find Gabby refuses to help. Brian Laundrie was traveling with Gabby in the Grand Teton – Yellowstone area. They were traveling together in Gabby’s 2012 Ford Transit van. That is where we believe Gabby was last seen. Brian is refusing to tell Gabby’s family where he last saw her. Brian is also refusing to explain why he left Gabby all alone and drove her van to Florida. These are critical questions that require immediate answers. The Schmidt and Petito family beg the Laundrie family to not “remain in the background” but to help find who Brian referred to as the love of his life. How does Brian stay in the background when he is the one person that knows where Gabby is located? The Schmidt and Petito family implore Brian to come forward and at least tell us if we are looking in the right area." If you have information about Gabby's case, please call the Suffolk County police crime stoppers at 800-220-8477 or the FBI at 800-CALLFBI To learn more about Gabby's case, visit the Facebook page set up by her family at: https://www.facebook.com/Find-Gabby-110214491405003/ To contribute to the Gofundme page organized on behalf of Gabby's family, visit: https://gofund.me/d7a934a3 If you'd like to support this podcast via a donation, you can do so through Patreon here- https://www.patreon.com/MissingPodcast To contact the podcast or learn more about the cases we discuss visit: Missingpersonspodcast.net Follow us on Social media- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Missing-Persons-Podcast-103501877912153 or Twitter: https://twitter.com/Missing_Pod

It was after her family moved away, that Judy, who had suffered with OCD and depression, began to struggle with her mental health. Wanting to get help, she voluntarily checked herself into Creedmoor Hospital hoping to improve her situation. Years after they vanished, Richard Riesenberg was reported to have called his attorney to talk about turning himself into the authorities, but he never did, and was never heard from again. Episode 46 Rebekah Barsotti In July 2021, 33 year-old Virginia transplant, Rebekah Barsotti disappeared in the area of Clark Fork River near Alberton, Montana. Rebekah was in the process of going through a divorce and had separated from her husband following a turbulent relationship in which there were indications of domestic violence, including a no-contact order, but Rebekah was starting to plan out the next phase of her life and had recently moved into her own place. On July 20th, Rebekah arranged to meet her estranged husband's caregiver near a gas station in Superior, Montana to retrieve some of her belongings. According to the caregiver, the exchange went down without a hitch. From there, it appears that Rebekah traveled to the Clark Fork River to stretch her legs and train her beloved dog Cerberus. Rebekah however was never seen again. A family hiking along the river found several items belongin to Rebekah stacked nealy along the riverbank and contacted police who found Rebekah's car at a nearby rest stop, but there was no sign of Rebekah or Cerberus. Several days later, Cerberus's remains were found 10 miles down stream from where Rebekah's belongings were found.
