Guillory Founder of Nap Bar | Certified Sleep Expert, Award-Winning Speaker, Philanthropist, Filmmaker, and much more but we talk Nap Bar and features a luxurious napping space with private suites, comfy organic mattresses, organic sheets, and custom sleep sounds to take your nap to the next level. In 2011, Guillory founded The Cynthia A. Guillory Foundation (CAG) to pay homage to her mother, Cynthia, who lost the fight against ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease in 2002. Guillory promised her mother to continue her legacy through the gift of giving and increase ALS awareness. Despite the global pandemic, CAG hosted the 9th Annual Giving Tree; partnered with Walmart, raised nearly $16,000 in one night and paid off over 130 layaways for underrepresented families in Houston, TX. Based on her philanthropy work in the community, Mayor Sylvester Turner declared October 29 as Khaliah O. Guillory Day. I enjoyed this conversation with Khaliah she was very informative about why naps are so important and on top of that it's backed by science so yeah she had my interest but Khaliah talks about leaving her corporate job and become a full-time entrepreneur and getting her company off the ground. Episode 145 - Three Minute Thursday ( Your Mind , Your Path , Your Future )

This is a three-minute Thursday, episode number 145. Hey, guys. So this morning, I wake up, right? And I'm like, my alarm goes off five am My snooze dead. Five-O Seven The thing goes back up, and I'm like, man, I don't feel like getting up, but I made my mind up that I want to work out 5 6 times a week. And I'm like, man, I can't let that day go. And I need to get up. And that's one thing that when I got in the gym, I started running. I was working out And I'm like, You know what? There are two kinds of people. There's one who says, I don't feel like it. I'll do it when I feel like it. And then the other one, Let's say I'll start doing it. And hopefully, I'll feel like doing it. And I fell into that second category because I went and did it. And then once I was 5 10 minutes in the gym, I'm like, man, you know, I'm all in it. I'm over there for the next 80 minutes, just working it out and feeling great and felt great. I feel good today. So that's the difference. You're either gonna be one of those people who say I'll do it when I feel like it, or I'll do it, and hopefully, I'll start feeling like It Being successful is hard, man. Being good at something is hard. Nobody said being successful is easy, but I'd rather be successful than not successful because being because not being successful is even harder. Not listen to me. Not being successful is even harder. Not being able to go out and eat whatever you want to is even harder. Not being able to afford to pay rent is even harder. Not being able to give you your kid's toys or even have food on your table harder. So I'd rather take that choice. I'd rather pay the price to be successful. I'd rather pay the price to have money than pay the price not to have the money. Nobody says easy. Nobody says easy. It's not easy, but it all depends. I've seen flowers grow out of concrete. It just all depends on what kind of sole you're putting in there. You gotta have that mindset.
