Mini Moments Ep 49: Follow The Fear With Natanya Bravo
11/23/22 • 6 min
In these "Mini Moments" we pull some of my favorite and most impactful mini lessons from past episodes of the Made for More Podcast to give you a quick digestible lesson in under 10 minutes. If you liked this mini moment, check out the rest of this full episode here - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/how-to-use-fear-as-the-driving-force-to-realizing/id1529443551?i=1000527085386
Summary There are two big things that hold people back from getting what they want: priorities and assessment/fear of risk. We often tell ourselves we really want something but our actions say otherwise in that we are likely not truly prioritizing the actions needed to change. So they hard question becomes not just "how bad do you really want this?" but "how bad do you really want this in regards to what you will have to trade or sacrifice to prioritize and achieve that thing?" Lastly, we provide a new way to think about risk, because most people only think about risk from one side.
Our Favorite Quotes
"I think a lot of us get stuck at wanting to see the top of the staircase, before we've ever taken the first or second step."
"That bold, messy, uncomfottable action is going to help you get the data and data is really the way you're going to be able to make those decisions one at a time without trying to make ten decisions and map out your whole 5 year plan at one time."
