August 9 1849, London England, a 50 year old moneylender by the name of Patrick O'Connor went to dinner at the home of his friends Maria and Frederick. A couple of years prior, he'd courted Maria, but she'd married Frederick Manning instead. That was okay with Patrick though, as h
