On Saturday 16th August 1980, 42 year old convicted thief John Thompson had a petty dispute with a barman at an illegal nightclub at 18 Denmark Place (London). The question you have to ask yourself is why?

Murder Mile UK True Crime - New Blue #3

New Blue #3

Murder Mile UK True Crime

play

10/14/21 • 55 min

While I'm away finishing the research on the final few episodes of Murder Mile, here is something special.

This is Part Three of Three of NEW BLUE; a conversation with Paul, a serving officer in the Metropolitan Police about what it's really like to be a policeman. Over three episodes, we'll dive into his training, his first and his daily duties. This is a frank, unedited conversation, which contains some rude words and may feature personal opinions which may not fully reflect the Police. The theme music was Finals by Silent Partner.

This is Part Two and the final part of The Blackout Ripper: First Blood.

In the second week of February 1942, six women were attacked on consequecutive days across London's West End; two were violently assaulted and four were brutally tortured and murdered. All were attributed to Gordon Frederick Cummins, who would later be dubbed 'The Blackout Ripper'. But was he a one-off spree-killer, or did this sadistic maniac have two more victims in his past?
