The Importance of RECOVERY (THE 3 R'S)
If there's any episode you NEED to listen to... it's this one.
Taking your rest days might be one of the MOST important aspects of your training/workout schedule. Without the 3 R'S (rebuilding, rehydrating, and refueling) we won't be making any progress anytime soon. In fact, without proper recovery we can expect higher cortisol levels, more inflammation, higher risk of injury, chronic fatigue, little to no weight loss, and a number of other troubling symptoms!
The need for a rest day goes far beyond just taking a 'day off'.
It also means proper sleep (REM), drinking plenty of water,
eating the right foods, and making sure to stretch and mobilize.
We only have ONE body.. it's time to start treating it RIGHT!
