Ivy League Murders

Leopold and Loeb were two wealthy students attending the University of Chicago in May of 1924, when they committed the "Crime of the Century", kidnapping and murdering 14-year old Bobby Franks, as a demonstration of their ostensible intellectual superiority. The boys thought they could carry out the perfect crime, and completely absolve themselves of any responsibility of what they had done. The Families retained Clarence Darrow as their defense attorney, although they would ultimately both end up sentenced to life in prison.
