In this episode, I sit down with return guests Amanda Porta and Robyn Towt to discuss an extremely important update within the breast implant industry. With a new, "safer" Motiva implant pending FDA approval, these women want to make sure the truth is given to all women considering implants in the future. This implant (that was supposed to hit the U.S. market in 2023) claims to be vastly safer than its competitors because of revolutionary technology (including a microchip), and backed by "rigorous science" and "clinical data."
Both Amanda and Robyn have graciously come back to properly educate us all on what's really going on and that despite claims, this shiny new option is not what it's cracked up to be. As well-known patient advocates, both women feel it is their duty and responsibility to highlight the unfortunate and consistent safety concerns, along with the fact that nearly all safety studies advertised by the company have conflicts of interest. These implants are also already approved in some countries, where authorities have come forward with serious concerns, considering the onset of symptoms/illness they are seeing.
With the date of FDA approval unknown, these women are passionate about continuing to share the crucial importance of both real informed consent, as well as call attention to the common health concerns that are associated with ALL breast implants, including this upcoming option. They want women to be aware of the fact that the majority of doctors are not given the full story, and are sadly unaware of the realities of BII, as well as cancer concerns.

Homebase LINK I refer to in the intro of this episode: https://linktr.ee/thegiftofgoods
In this episode, I sit down with Emily Cherkin, otherwise known as The Screentime Consultant. As a former middle school English teacher and parent of two, Emily witnessed the simultaneous rise of technology use for school, and
smartphone and social media use for kids. Today, she consults with parents, offers school presentations and professional development trainings, and writes about parenting and screentime to bring her tech-intentional approach to as many people as possible. Emily's book "The Screentime Solution: A Judgment-Free Guide to Becoming a Tech-Intentional Family" is an Amazon bestseller and available everywhere books are sold.
This episode is a MUST LISTEN for parents, but in all honesty...helpful for us all, parent or not. We go into detail about the following:

  • Why are screens and phones so addictive, especially for children and teens?
  • Is there a one-size-fits-all solution for families?
  • Is this a kid problem or an adult problem?
  • What critical skills are being compromised in children today?
  • Are children and teens being stunted socially?
  • Do parental controls work and are they a good idea?
  • Are children safer with a phone or smart watch?
  • What age is a good age for a phone?
  • Are phones interfering with problem-solving?
  • How can parents help their teenage children with common concerns like social media and how it is affecting their mental/emotional health?
  • What can parents do when their children come across inappropriate content?
  • How can parents express concerns about tech and screen use in schools?
  • How can parents have better conversations with their kids and teens and implement boundaries?
  • How can parents mitigate screentime conflict and meltdowns?
